How much cash do we have now? Balance as of 10/31: 3790.54 (I do have a
deposit to make)

And what are our expected expenses in the next year (including upfront
expenses for events we will be putting on)? 

 

I have rounded up the numbers. Remember these are approx costs, based on
existing budgets and what the LAST time we did the event cost. These
numbers also DO NOT include the change funds for GATE or any taverns,
also some of these have advance deposits and balances are payable after
the event. 

 

Approved Purchases:

Youth rapiers (these have been ordered, pending delivery) Deforest can
you send me the final total?

 

Events

Terp: $450 (tavern food budget)

Celtic Fest: $50 

Grand Tourney VI: $1400

Rose Tourney: Still gathering information

12th Night: (Last 12th Night) $4300

I am very interested to hear more about these thrones also.  Could
someone who is in the know about the proposal please give a synopsis?  I
think the questions I have are:

 

Why do we need new thrones? (I do know that the current ones don't look
very comfortable.)

What is the proposed new design? (are there any pictures that could be
posted?)

What materials would they be made from?

How will it be better than the old ones?

Why does it cost so much?

Who will be making them?

When could we expect to have them done?

Any idea what other barony's have spent on their thrones?

 

Also am I correct that we have two sets of thrones now, a heavy set and
a travel set?

 

And questions perhaps for the Exchequer:

How much cash do we have now?

And what are our expected expenses in the next year (including upfront
expenses for events we will be putting on)?

 

I agree with Ranthlfr that we should postpone making a decision on this
until more information can be given.  Right now my opinion would be not
to spend this money right now.
