12th Night 2010
12th night was hosted by Roaring Wastes at the Detroit Waldorf School. Many from our Barony received awards that night.
 
Halima, Sir Ranthulfr and Dillon received awards in the Arts and Sciences competition.
 
Hannah received the Dragon's Heart. 
 
Baron Gregoire was named the Queen's Champion.
 
Congratulations all.

Wassail
Wassail went very well. The all-day format was a good idea. 
 
$100- site rental
$154- taken in

Baronial Transition Event, Sat, March 27
 
The event is scheduled at St. Andrew's Church in Dexter, the same place as Wassail.
There will be a feast, fighting, fire pit, classes, day camps.
 
Because
it is Palm Sunday, we may not be able to use the Sanctuary for court. 
We may have to change the date or try other venues. More info to come.

Terpsichore, Sat, March 20, St. Paul United Church of Christ in Saline.
 
Aelfric says the Pale ad has been submitted. 
 
This year the Barony has sole possession of the kitchen.

Youth Fencing Swords
 
The
group decided that the Fencing Marshal should still purchase youth
swords, even though those that were interested have left the area.  We
may need them for future use.
 
Also Arnold reported that one of
the daggers was broken at practice recently.  A $40 donation was made
toward the purchase of a new one.  The group allocated $20 toward the
cost of replacing the blade.

Ypsilot, Fri, Jan 22, Morris Lawrence Building, WCCC
 
Daibhid
explained the plan for the Ypsilot evetn.  He is
coordinating performances by the Ring of Steel, the Sword Club and the
Barony of Cynnabar.

There will be a separate document with details to follow soon.

12TH NIGHT, Sat, Jan 8, 2011
 
The
deadline for securing a site is the first business meeting in June. At
that time Baron Gregoire sugggests that the group decide if it's even
feasible to host the event this year.
 
The issues are that in
addition to cost, the Chiv retreat is the same weekend. The Crown and
many other personages will be in attendance there.

Gift Exchange
Fun was had by all on Mon, Dec 14, 2009.  Several favorite items were passed around many times before the end of the night.
 
The group decided to have the event again next year.
