Weekly meetings minutes for October 10th, 2011

Announcements:
- Their Excellencies would encourage everyone to think about possible award
recommendations, either Baronial or Kingdom.  For Kingdom awards, Their
Majesties have been pulling recommendations up to a month in advance - so it
might not even be too early to consider awards for 12th Night!!
- We are looking for prizes for Grand Tournament - either hand-made or
donated objects.  Please let Their Excellencies know if you have something
you are willing to donate.
- The Brewing Guild met recently and have started to brew some beer!
- Her Excellency will be holding a workshop this Sunday on SCA Awards,
Titles and so forth.  It will be a noon in the Opera Room in the Michigan
Union.  Anyone may attend!

Event and Demo Reports:
Fiber Faire - Approximately 60 people.  Classes were well attended, and
their were 15 entries at the Craftperson's Faire.  Possibility for expansion
in the future.
Procrastinator's Ball and Brawl - Very cold and windy!
Parchment Workshop - Done and went well!

Old Business:

Grand Tournament (December 3rd)
Things are moving along!  If you have ideas, thoughts or questions regarding
this event, please let me know.

Wassail!
The event and budget has been approved.
Ciara will be assisting with a yard sale/fundraiser.
Hopefully Gold Key will be somewhat purged by this time!!

Novice A&S Faire (Feb 4th)
Name will be updated shortly!

St. Celia at the Tower (May 12th)
It is now on the Kingdom calendar.

Terpsichore at the Tower (April 14th)
$910 budget has been approved as submitted.
More talk will happen in the future regarding possible comp'ding policies.

Collegium
Next week's workshop will be Awards and Titles in the SCA - presented by Her
Excellency.

Gold Key -
We are still trying to find a time to work on this.

Baronial meeting sites -
Nicola's bookstore may not work out in the long run because
of other group that also use the space.
Classic Cup Cafe works fairly well, but if people have other
ideas - please let Finn know!

New Business:

Checks -
Vincent needs to order our new checks
$15 was approved to do this.

Event Site Book -
Mistress Claire has volunteered to assist with putting together
a book which can be used by future event stewards and contains
information on a variety of possible site locations.
She handed out a rough draft of a information form that can be filled out
with important information.

MoAS Deputy -
THL Arin is looking for a Deputy.  Please let her know if you are
interested.
