I just realized that this is Pennsic 41. That means that this will be  
my 30th Pennsic in a row....

And .... that means I've been authorized to fight since Baronial  
Border War 30 years ago! (Actually, it had a different name the first  
two years, but I remember that apple orchard well. My opponent was  
Lord Eliahu, a squire, and right in the middle of the fight the cast  
lead pommel of my sword broke off and went sailing across the field.  
Fortunately, no apples were injured.
Oh, and I passed.
