[Cynnabar] BoC Meeting Minutes for 10/15/12 meeting

[Cynnabar Seneschal]

Keepin' trendy with Sunday night meeting minutes.  A HUGE thanks to
Seneschal Deputy Extraordinaire Mistress Claire for running the meeting and
getting me the minutes.

 

Event and Demo Reports

 

Fiber Faire (Oct 13th)  -  51 people. $455 profit. $22 to the Royal travel
fund from donations.

 

Rendezvous at the Bridge (Oct 13th)  -  Good weather. Lots of fighting. HRM
Dag fenced!

 

Upcoming Baronial Events and Demos

 

Grand Tourney (Nov 3rd)  - Had staff meeting. Ld. Kazmer will do youth
combat and present training fast track to being youth marshals. Site is
discreetly damp. Still need prizes! Lady Seidhi will do youth activities.
Setup on Friday Nov. 2nd. Also a prize for the best day camp.

 

Nicola's books holiday gift wrapping (Nov. 17th and Nov. 24th) - Amyon will
repost 10/15. Hard copy at meeting on 10/22. Singers will go and entertain
the customers. 

 

Wassail (Dec. 8th)  - Nothing new.

 

St. Cecilia at the Tower Event proposal (May 18th, 2013 tentative) - This is
the 2nd discussion of our 3 meeting discussion/approval process. We are on
the church calendar. More beginner classes. Lunch tavern info coming.

Fixing loaner leg armor (placeholder only, not under active discussion) - 

 

New Business

 

New event proposal: Terpsichore (April. 6th, 2013)  - Has staff. $275 site
cost for whole building. $100 for printing/publications. Looks like a total
budget proposal of $375. [Did not see lunch or dinner mentioned in event
proposal, so this discussion would be for basic site and printing coverage.
This is the 1st discussion of our 3 meeting discussion/approval process.

 

Archery End of the Season (Nov. 18th)  - Closing the range and turkey shoot
(in garb)! Archery all day 10-5 plus a bonfire in the evening. Need a
portajohn (rent $135). Donation jar. Potluck and grill in the evening. This
is the 1st discussion of our 3 meeting discussion/approval process.

 

Announcements

 

-          - Vocal  herald workshop Wednesday the 17th at 6:30. Contact
Ermenrich.

-          - Breiana (Kingdom Exchequer): Inventory of Regalia. Some things
need to be replaced. (Half-rounds in front of the thrones. Table linens.
Winter and summer weight cloaks for TRMs and TRHs.) Deadline of Nov. 1st.
