[Cynnabar] "List Herald Workshop" by THL Chaya-Simcha at Grand Day of Tournaments

Greetings, Cynnabar!

If you are planning to attend this weekend’s Grand Day of Tournaments in
Saline and have a couple of hours free to volunteer in helping make the
Tournaments more authentic in medieval feel and pageantry; or if you are
new, and have an interest in learning (or perfecting / reviewing /
practicing) the skill of vocal heraldry, you are all cordially invited to
attend the popular and well-received “List Herald Workshop” being taught by
Buckler Herald Chaya-Simcha bat Yonah [Shoshana Jackson] after Morning
Court (at approximately 10:30 am).

Among other topics, THL Simcha will teach us how to “cry a tournament list”
– call competitors into the fighting arena, announce the winners, and
coordinate with the List Mistresses to keep the tournaments running
smoothly. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to be coached on how to
actually “work the list”.

We plan to meet near the List Fields [these may be outside, weather
permitting] and the class (proper) is expected to last about an hour.
Please bring a beverage, as throats may get dry with practice. We hope to
see you there!
