[Cynnabar] Baronial business meeting minutes 12/8

Cynnabar Baronial Meeting 8 December 2022, in-person, at 7:07pm, 15 in
attendance (we had troubles with Zoom, so no Zoom tonight! Sorry!)

Announcements:

   -

   A&S Workshops
   -

      3rd week of the month. A Baronial survey will go out in the near
      future to gauge what people are interested in.
      -

      January 19th - Mistress Hannah is going to host a scribal workshop.
      -

      Feb - HE Olafr Cooking class
      -

      March - Miriam will do a Bookbinding class
      -

      April - Pennsic messenger bag class
      -

      May through Dec - open!!


New Business:

   -

   St. Cecilia event proposal (May 20, 2023)
   -

      Lunch and dinner taverns - this is a MAYBE
      -

      Proposal has been modified to remove printing costs and reduce
      incidental costs to $25 so total proposal budget is now $400.
      -

      Back-up Event Steward is Eliza. (thank you!)
      -

      Per the financial policy, this has been approved by me tonight, so it
      is a go!
      -

   SCA Library
   -

      Books are being categorized and find out if there is space
      -

         Shelf space may be available at the Milan church
         -

         If people want to donate books please let Caryn or Nezkha know


Old Business:

   -

   Our Webminister would like to find someone to help and/or take over for
   him. If you are interested, please let Giovanna or Aaron know.
   -

   Discussion 3 of 3 for Charles to be the next Knight Armored Marshal
   -

      Vote for this position: 10

      Gregoire was a “no”, but since he wasn’t at the meeting it doesn’t
      count.

   Discussion 1 of 3 for Edelgard to become the next Chronicler.

         Owns a small publishing company RPG company

         Familiar with digital media and publishing

         Was Chronicler 30 years ago

         Works from home and so is flexible with scheduling

      Attendance - 175 total

      167 paid attendees (Royalties and youth)

      Day was smooth - amazing help!

      Lots of new people.

   Wassail (Dec 10th - Milan Senior Center)

      This Saturday!

      Doors opens at 3 - for set-up.
      3.

      Daye has been happily sorting through decorations getting everything
      ready to bring. If you want to help, please contact Daye.
      4.

      Schedule has been published on the event page.
      5.

      Spreadsheet to add for potluck.

      FOOD - please enter the dessert competition - money goes to the Royal
      Travel Fund

      11:30 clean up - have to be out by 1:00am
      8.

      Sir Midair is bringing a chess set to Wassail - help him practice!

   Terpsichore (April 15th, 2023)

      Contract has been handed over!
      2.

      Aaron will update the parking map with current landmarks.
      3.

      Lunch tavern is preferred, so Eliza will start looking for this.

      Their Excellencies will reach out to Their Majesties/Highnesses about
      attending.

Their Excellencies:

2 people that had never been to an event came to Grand Day and had such a
fun time and are now looking for their local group and are super excited.

This is the last business meeting of 2022!!

Nothing on Dec 22nd and 29th.

There will be a gathering on the 5th of January.

Our next business meeting will be January 12th, 2023. I hope you all have a
wonderful holiday season and a great New Year!
