Hello! Here are the meeting minutes from our last business meeting on March
27th.
Cynnabar Baronial Meeting March 27th, 2025 - at pm - in attendance
Announcements:
-
Practice on April 3rd will be in Kalamazoo

Practice on April 17th will be a field trip to Red Spears at The Well
and Fitness Gym (1099 N Main St, Bowling Green, OH 43402) 7-10 PM

A&S Survey has gone out. Please take some time to fill it out.

Barony had Board Games with the Baroness on the 29th.

Giovanna will be taking a class on Thursday evenings starting in
February. Ceara will help with some meetings, but some may need to be
canceled.

Daye is going to be stepping down sometime this year and would
like to find a replacement. If you are interested, please let
either her or
me know.
Events:
1.
Terpsichore (March 22nd Westminster, 2025) - Alina and Claire
1.
Lots of great classes.
2.
Musicians were great!
3.
We made money! $1500 came in (this includes the NMS though.)
4.
There was discussion about the size of the church and it sounds like
we should be okay if the event expands for a while.
5.
We had 82 adults and 17 kids.
6.
Tavern took in just over $500. Profits are being donated to the “hat”
for our use of the church weekly.
7.
Books took in about $120. Finn and Giovanna will talk about whether
these funds can be used for NMS.
8.
There was a lot of great feedback given to Their Excellencies.
9.
Lots of people stayed and helped to clean the site.
10.
The 29th annual Terp is likely to be scheduled around Easter next
year which means we’ll have to consider alternative weekends.
11.
We’re penciled in for either the 14th or 21st.
12.
The 14th would allow us to use the church Friday evening.
1.
The church isn’t in a hurry for approval on this and can wait for
us to decide.
13.
This date could be a conflict for Alina.
14.
There was a good age range for children in attendance.
2.
Spring Revel (May 4th - date change from the 10th)
1.
Simone has volunteered to run it.
2.
Beth is looking into the cost of $25 an hour if we extend beyond the
shelter.
3.
Discussed funds from the Garage sale be donated for food towards the
royalty food at Grand Day and NMS. (This may not be able to be posted to
facebook…)
4.
Mentioned at the meeting that it should be double checked with the
city to make sure that electricity be available to the building.

St. Cecilia at the Tower (June 14th) - Mieczko
1.
Hanna is running the lunch tavern.
2.
Event will end at 6 and the site needs to be updated. The church will
be hosting a concert after the event.

Grand Day of Tournaments (October 25 Monroe Fairgrounds) -

1.
A Facebook event was created.
2.
The website has been updated and will be linked on the main Cynnabar

Looking for someone to help with food vendors.

Looking for someone to assist with set-up and tear-down.

Will be working on getting the insurance rider..

Seneschal - Ceara has been running meetings for me while I’m in class -
thank you!
Exchequer - I am behind in submission of the monthly report but will get
done this weekend. Beth did update me on Terp numbers and some of the
receipts.

Chronicler -
1) April CITADEL is being assembled and should be "published" by April 1. I
have asked Their Excellencies if they will contribute, since this is the
primary recording of the current activities in the Barony.
2) I will submit my quarterly report to my Regional/Kingdom Chroniclers on
time.
3) As Deputy Webminister I am keeping the Grand Day of Tournaments website
up-to-date as I receive content.
I recently updated an streamlined the Chroniclers page on the Cynnabar
website. The previous version, against "best practices," made you scroll
through a lot of unnecessary text. It's now just the publishing schedule
and how to submit material.
I want to also thank Baroness Valka and Baron Bjarki for their "Words from
Their Excellencies" which I received today, to complete the April CITADEL.

Webminster -
Got the permissions set to be able to create user accounts on the new
site. Soon I will ask one or two people to review what I have so far.
There is still quite a bit to do.
I was working with the help desk person until she had some real life
challenges and had to take a month off. I hope to resume working with her
soon. On the old site: Waiting for Finn to request a user account so I can
approve him and swap out Diamante. The next event will probably be Spring
revel? Someone please let me know when there is a firm date and other
specs on this.

Our next business meeting will be April 10th - In-person. Ceara will be
running the next meetings:

April 17th Cancelled since the fighters will be out of town and the
church isn’t available.
