on August 28, 2025, at 7:00 pm, where 12 people were in attendance.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Vikings come home (Sept 12-14) — We look forward to seeing everyone at
the event!

The Baronial T-shirt fundraiser added items. Please note that orders
must be placed by Sept 21st. More items have been added – or soon!

Official Archery practice this coming Sunday. Contact Godhit for details
-
The church is collecting any “can” tabs for the Ronald McDonald
Children’s Hospital of AA. Please bring them in and save them! These can be
from drinks like pop or beer cans, or canned food, etc. The Children’s
Hospital competes with a rival in Ohio – they want to beat them by total
weight of tabs. So these are needed just before the Mich/Ohio State games –
so for us, Thursday, Nov 20th.
NEW BUSINESS:

OFFICER CHANGE OVER - Chatelaine (Meeting 1 of 3)

Asa has officially put their name for this role of Chatelaine

Shared some details of their long history with the SCA in other
Kingdoms and groups and reasons for wanting the role

Working on a resume to share next time

We’re looking to do an official changeover of stuff at Grand Day.
They will be training with Daye until that point
OLD BUSINESS:

Chronicler (Newsletter) would like to step down (Godhit)

Godhit would like to transition from this role at the end of the
year

Lambert has expressed interest and is already working as Godhit's
Deputy

If there are others interested, please contact Godhit, Their
Excellencies, or the Seneschal for more information

We will plan to review in October and start to vote officially

Wassail! - (Sunday, December 14) Lead: Rosalyn McGregor, Meeting 3 of 3
(APPROVED)

Proposed date: Sunday, December 14th, 1 to 9 pm; to be held at
Chelsea Fairgrounds.

The proposed budget is $175, which would cover supplies, rental, and
insurance costs, plus an additional $250 security deposit once we clean.
Two checks will likely be needed.

Would be a suggested donation of $10 pp, with a Breakeven is 18; We
had approx 60 people attend last year

The day would consist of general Wassail activities, depending on
what the group would like: potluck, firepit, Court, Dessert Auction

Will be announced in the Oct Citadel

OFFICER REPORTS
Seneschal
My report was filed before Pennsic (Aug 1). Would like to have a retreat
sometime in September – a simple meeting – with all the officers. The goal
of which would be to discuss roles, responsibilities, and communication.
Sounds like we are leaning towards a virtual meeting. I would like to make
sure that deputies and the populace are allowed to attend if they’d care to.
Herald
Nothing new to report. Working on some updates to the OP from Pennsic.
Exchequer
We have $16,042.79 in the bank. No outstanding financial issues. Please
remember to donate for the rental of the site for our meetings/practice.
And please remind the rapier and armored folks that may be outside about
the ‘pass the hat’. Still on the Exchequer want-to-do list: Provide a
slightly updated ‘event proposal’ form that will capture a couple of
additional things needed for Kingdom event reports. Also on the want-to-do
list is to update/reorganize the Google Drive files so everything is
consistent.
MOAS
The theme of the Month poll was tied, but went with “Organics.” Next
month's Theme will be "Color" in anticipation of the Autumn leaves
changing.
People have shown interest in learning "How to participate in an A&S
Display". Will be making arrangements with Hannah.
Looking for an opportunity to arrange a "Pumpkin Decorating Contest" for
October. Painting, carving, and adhering would all be acceptable. Currently
considering a bean-count voting system.
ASA volunteered to do a Spooky storytelling, particularly a romantic
werewolf story
Webminister:
Continuing to populate the new website with current information. Assisting
with Grand Day website updates. Quarterly report submitted on time.Checking
on op updates
Chronicler:

Work on the October CITADEL will begin Sept.1.

Following up with Lambert re: Chronicler training & transition
-
Helping with website updates - in particular GDoT Website.

Rapier practices are happening. Lots of people - no injuries to report.

Looking forward to the Vikings event – we have a full cabin; lots of great
things coming up this fall
