[Cynnabar] Meeting minutes from 1/30

Good morning!

Here is what you have been waiting for!

Cynnabar Baronial Meeting January 30th, 2024 at pm - 12 in attendance and 1
through Google Meet.

Announcements:

   -

   Book club
   -

      Will meet next week, Feb. 6th at the church at 7:00pm
      -

      The next book will be The Glass Maker by Tracy Chevalier.
      -

         No due date yet on this. More info to come.

New Business:

   Officer Changeovers
   -

      MOAS
      -

         Due to personal conflicts, AnneMarie needs to step down from this
         position.
         -

            Wanda has expressed interest in the position (one of three
            meetings)
            -

      Seneschal
      -

         Seneschal is looking to step down and have a deputy trained to
         take over at some point.
         -

         Giovanna will be taking a class on Thursday evenings starting in
         February. Ceara will help with some meetings, but some may need to be
         cancelled.
         -

         Gregoire is interested in the position, but it would have to be
         virtual on another night. (one of three meetings)
         -

            It would be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday
            -

            This might allow more people to attend virtually, but it would
            break up the omnibus meeting.
            -

            More opportunities for workshops.
            -

      Chatelaine
      -

         Daye is going to be stepping down sometime this year and would
         like to find a replacement. If you are interested, please let
either her or
         me know.
         -

      Social Media - Beth would like a deputy to help her with things.
      Please let her know if you are interested in learning more about
the office!

Events:

   Grand Day of Tournaments (October 25 Monroe Fairgrounds) - ??
   1.

      We still also need to send a check to Darryl. Giovanna will send one
      to Darryl, and can get reimbursed by the Exchequer.
      2.

      Gregoire will be putting in a proposal soon (probably the 13th)
      2.

   Terpsichore (March 22nd Westminster, 2025) - Alina and Claire
   1.

      Lunch tavern proposal (one of three meetings) - From Hannah
      1.

         $600 budget, like last year.
         2.

         Would like to serve about 100 people
         3.

         Any profit that we make she would like to earmark for the rental
         of our meeting site.
         2.

      Alina has 20 classes already ready to go!
      3.

      Terp booklet party will be March 14th - 7:00pm at Alina’s house.
      4.

      Claire and Elaine met with the church staff to reserve the rooms for
      Terp 28.  We do not have to pay a security deposit this year as
we left the
      site in such good shape last year.
      5.

      In case Royalty comes, we can rent the church sanctuary for $50/hour
      if they want to hold court.
      3.

   Spring Revel (April??) - Usually at the Island Park Pavillion
   1.

      If you are interested in running this, please let me know.
      4.

   St. Cecilia at the Tower Proposal (June 14th) - Mieczko
   1.

      Applied to put it on the Midrealm calendar.
      2.

      Looking for a food coordinator to manage lunch and/or dinner tavern
      (instead of a feast).


Officer’s Reports

Seneschal - Report has been completed. Events are having. Officer's
changeovers are underway! Gregoire is interested in the position, if it can
be moved to another night and be virtual.

Exchequer - We are still working through official paperwork to get on bank
account. I should have domesday submitted by Friday (due date).

Chatelaine - Nothing to report Quarterly is due on the 1st. Trying to
decide when she stepped up. If anyone is interested in taking over as
Chatelaine, please let me know.

Armored - Nothing to report - domesday was in on time.

Rapier - fencing continues: 3 established fencers and two newer fencers
attending currently.

No fencing related lacerations to report.

A&S - Currently looking to switch over

Herald - Report was filed. Nothing new to report.

Social Media - Nothing to report.

Chronicler - 4th Q filed by Jan. 1. Jan CITADEL uploaded Dec. 30 or so.

Webminster - Aaron and I are looking into why the Webminister email is not
getting notification when someone is looking to join the mailing list.
Order of Precedence - is this maintained and managed by the Herald?

Archery (vacant) - It’s Winter!

Their Excellencies - The Baronial progress has been updated for the next
few months. Otherwise nothing to report except WE ARE STILL A BARONY!

Our next business meeting will be February 13th. Ceara will be running the
next meetings:
