*OFFICER REPORTS:*
Seneschal - Hannah
Hi. I’m new here. Aquaniting myself with our traditions, handbooks, and
financial details. Please be patient with me, and I’m happy to help, but
know that my answer might be “I’m not sure but I will find out” for a
little bit!
Email is the best way to reach me cynnabar.seneschal at midrealm.org. I do not
always get Facebook messages during standard work hours.
Exchequer - Finn
-
We have $15,732.79 currently in the account.
-
Our May report (due June 30th) balances out and just needs signatures to
submit to Regional.
-
The St. Cecilia non-member surcharge check for Kingdom was sent in time
(NMS are due 10 days after the event)
-
The St. Cecilia event report and paperwork (e.g. waivers) will be
completed on time for submission to Regional/Kingdom. It looks like we made
$280 in profit.
-
Updated Baronial budget (spreadsheet) completed and ready for review
(minus final St. Cecilia numbers, but the budget and be reviewed without
those).
Chatelaine - Daye
Our Brochures for the Celtic Fest demo have been ordered.
Working on finding a replacement.
Keys were found!
MOAS - Wanda
Debuted the "A&S Theme of the Month". Decided via Facebook poll, the
populace voted "Accessory" to be the theme of June. The theme for July has
been voted to be "War", with many anticipating Pennsic.
Will be hosting a gathering JULY 10 "Push for Pennsic" a social gathering
after the weekly meeting to encourage finishing last-minute projects before
Pennsic. Snacks will be provided.
Armored - Charles no report/no show
We had two new people authorized at Border Wars (Noted by Her Excellency)
Rapier - Throckmorton (Mr. New Bronze Ring!)
10 active Fencers and a lot of fencing!
No injury reports
Herald - Leopold
The quarterly herald report was submitted. He has been working on updating
the OoP, but has had some struggles with the website. Getting in touch with
the Webminister to address.
Social Media - Beth
-
I submitted my quarterly report. I will likely be unavailable July 11-25.
Chronicler - Godhit
-
July 2025 (Q2) CITADEL is in progress.
-
The CITADEL won a “Best Short Fiction” Blackfox Award for “Le Roman de
Gregoire de Lyon”, written by Sir Gregoire de Lyon and published in the
January 2025 CITADEL. This is the second Blackfox Award won by the CITADEL,
the previous being A.S. 51/Spring 2017 for “Best Article.”
-
Our Baronial Chronicler’s Handbook is up-to-date with the latest
directives from the Kingdom regarding mandated inclusions (which are not in
print format in any current handbook). Until the Kingdom produces a new
Handbook, this is our best way of documenting Kingdom expectations
regarding publishing requirements.
-
I intend to step down as Chronicler with the January 2026 CITADEL as my
last issue. If anyone is interested in being Chronicler, please let our
Seneschal Dame Hannah know. It is helpful to know about desktop publishing
and access to a “word” program and an Adobe-like utility.
Webminster - Aeffe
Webminister: minor changes to the (old) website this month; worked with
Finn and Hannah on their officer changeovers; got some information from the
deputy Kingdom Webminister on event emails (thanks Godhit).
Archery (vacant) -
Their Excellencies - Bjarki & Valka
Border War was great - lots of folks on the field and congrats to
Throckmorton on his Bronze Ring.
We are still a Barony
*BUDGET REVIEW MEETING*
- We reviewed the proposed budget as presented by Finn. Please see the
details in his posts/emails – or review the Exchequer drive links from the
Baronial Website if you were not present
- Depending upon what gets proposed in the coming year, the costs of
rentals, food, or other items, the group could see a small profit.
- There was discussion around changes and edits to costs – as well as
how we can potentially plan for future budgeting.
- The group approved the budget as presented
*The next meeting will be on Thursday, July 10.*
*(There is no meeting or gathering at the church on Thursday, July 3 due to
the holiday.)*
