Allow me to regale Their Excellencies' populace with tidings of how this
Barony aquitted itself upon the field of Winter War Maneuvers:
The morning opened with the recognition of Sir Charles as a Captain of the
Red Company. His Grace Dag was also called to join His Majesty with the new
Captains. His Grace declined the offer but instead offered words of praise
for another among the Red Company, and then His Grace and the Knights of
Cynnabar there in attendance (Sirs Gregoire, Jasen, Midair, & Charles)
begged the boon of Chivalry for Master Zygmunt. (There is video coming
soon.) Wasting no time, His Majesty raised him on the spot as a Knight.
Huzzah!
With court suspended until the evening, the novice tourney (Atlantian
Speed) kicked off with Her Excellency Valka, Lord Ugrath, & Lord Mahal
entering. All aquitted themselves well! But tournaments have 1 winner, so
congratulate Lord Mahal for dominating the field.
Cynnabar fielded two 3 vs. 3 melee tournament teams: Her Excellency
Cynnabar's Pachyderm Patrol of Doom & Glory--Her Excellency, Sir Gregoire,
& (at that time, stay tuned) THL Ulfrun & Cynnabest which through an
amusing misreading morphed into Cynnabeast when the herald called them to
the field-- His Excellency Tairdelbach, Lord Ugrath, & Lord Mahal. Both
teams had fun, competed with some of the best small unit fighters in
(mostly) North & South Oaken, and Her Excellency Cynnabar's Pachyderm
Patrol of Doom & Glory was seeded into the first round of the tournament
after the initial 5 (!!!!) seed rounds. Both teams fought honorably, fought
well, & worked together. (SALT BUCKET!)
Lord Mahal was the Barony's sole entrant into the Warlord Tournament, but
ended up on the winning Captain's Team and so shared a part in that victory
as well. 2 open fields & a bridge battle.
Cynnabar also fielded 3 Marshals for the tournaments: His Grace Dag, Sir
Zygmunt, & Lord Ugrath--helping to make fun happen for others is always
worthy service.
Evening court arrived and Cynnabar's renown continued to shine when Lord
Mahal was recognized by Duke Edmond during the 3 vs. 3 tournament as an
armoured combatant performing deeds of prowess upon the field and His
Majesty saw fit to bestow him a Dragon's Tooth!
And then, Dame Hannah was invited before His Majesty and gave praise and
recognition to her dependent, and begged the boon for THL Ulfrun to be
admitted into the Order of the Laurel! Her vigil & ceremony will be at Rose
Tourney on April 19th. Huzzah!
Congratulations to the Barony for striving for and achieving excellence in
so many ways yesterday!
In Service,
Baroness Jorun Aragunnrsdottir
