Cynnabar Baronial Meeting Minutes - Oct. 30, 2025 - at 7:00 pm - 16 in

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Baronial
-
DEPUTY EXCHEQUER NEEDED: Finn is looking for a deputy to assist with
some of the needs of the role. Duties would be general assistance of
Exchequer things, including: being a legal signatory on our account, and
helping with event gate countdowns. The candidate doesn’t need to be
obligated to take the role over in the future, but mainly to offer general
assistance.

EVENT PROPOSAL FORMS: We are also working on an event proposal template,
which should be worked out in the next few weeks. The idea is that anyone
putting together a proposal for an event will have all the necessary
information.

There will be an after-meeting workshop date TBD, to review or
practice the proposal sheet if anyone is interested. We will
also start on
a checklist for event stewards. Please join to help contribute!

SOCIAL MEDIA DEPUTY NEEDED - Looking for a deputy who would be
interested in taking over the role of social Media officer. Please talk
with Beth or Hannah about the position if interested

ARCHERY PRACTICE - There will be a "Zombie shoot" at Sunday archery
practice on 11/2/25, 2-4 p.m. at the usual range. Garb suggested
-
WEBSITE CHANGE: For awareness, our Baronial Website will be transferring
domains. We are aiming to do this sometime in November.

MEETING DATES: Please note that we have several upcoming holidays that
fall on Thursdays. There will be no meetings or practices on November 27,
December 25, or January 1.
General

CAN TABS NEEDED: The church is collecting any “can” (pull-back) tabs for
the Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital of AA. Please bring them in by
Thursday, November 20th. (Ask Hannah or Nancy for more details if there are
questions)

Food Bank - His Excellency, Bjarki, is kicking off a non-perishable food
drive to support a local food bank! (Aid in Milan was suggested.) Bring
your canned goods and nonperishable items to help make a difference in our
local community. Every donation helps stock the shelves and supports those
in need—let’s show how generous the SCA spirit can be! (No Cash donations,
please make those directly)

NEW BUSINESS:

OLD BUSINESS
St. Cecelia at the Tower - June 27, 2026, at Peoples Presbyterian, Sir
Mieczko is the event lead (meeting 1 of 3)

Mieczko reports that the date is available with the church, and the site
details will be forthcoming on the formal proposal

The theme this year will be 12th-century music, looking at a newcomer’s
area
-
The total budget for the site and any incidentals is $525
-
Break even at 35 people/$15 for person
-
Expected attendance is 50

Lunch and dinner budgets are fundraisers and will be separate
EVENTS

Grand Day of Tournaments - (October 25, Monroe Fairgrounds) - Lead:
Giovanna (not present/no direct report)

The Royals said we have a seamless machine, and it looked like
everything went well

Tournaments went very well

During court, Wanda received an AoA; Galen received a Bronze Ring,
Nancy received a Purple Fret, Renaude received a Purple Fret, and Mahaul
won the buckler tourney

Prizes were lovely – His RM said he’s coming next year for sure

Fighter food for rapier & youth vs list needs to be evaluated

242 attendance (total 208 members / 9 kids / 25 non-members

Budget standpoint, we made a profit – after NMS and expenses $868.43.
