Please read below for the minutes from the Cynnabar Baronial Meeting, held
Nov. 13, 2025 - at 7:00 pm - 14 in attendance
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Baronial
-
DEPUTY EXCHEQUER NEEDED: Finn is looking for a deputy to assist with
some of the needs of the role. Duties would be general assistance of
Exchequer things, including: being a legal signatory on our account, and
helping with event gate countdowns. The candidate doesn’t need to be
obligated to take the role over in the future, but mainly to offer general
assistance.

EVENT PROPOSAL FORMS: We are also working on an event proposal template,
which should be worked out in the next few weeks. The idea is that anyone
putting together a proposal for an event will have all the necessary
information.

There will be an after-meeting workshop date TBD, to review or
practice the proposal sheet if anyone is interested. We will
also start on
a checklist for event stewards. Please join to help contribute!

SOCIAL MEDIA DEPUTY NEEDED - Looking for a deputy who would be
interested in taking over the role of social Media officer. Please talk
with Beth or Hannah about the position if interested

WEBSITE ADDRESS CHANGE: For awareness, our Baronial Website will be
transferring domains. We are aiming to do this sometime in November.

MEETING SCHEDULE: Please note that we have several upcoming holidays
that fall on Thursdays. There will be no meetings or practices on November
27, December 25, or January 1.

ACCESSIBLE FENCING: Asa has found plans for “seating” fencing which is
something being done across the SCA. They will be talking with our Rapier
marshal regarding the plans and how to implement to see if it’s something
we can work into our practices.
General

CAN TABS NEEDED: The church is collecting any “can” (pull-back) tabs for
the Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital of AA. Please bring them in
by Thursday,
November 20th. (Which is this coming week!)

Food Bank - His Excellency, Bjarki, is kicking off a non-perishable food
drive to support a local food bank! Bring your canned goods and
nonperishable items to help make a difference in our local community. Every
donation helps stock the shelves and supports those in need—let’s show how
generous the SCA spirit can be! (No Cash donations, please make those
directly) Please – no expired food!

Asa’s sister’s baby has been named! Jesse Wendell Congratulations to all.

OLD BUSINESS
St. Cecelia at the Tower - June 27, 2026, at Peoples Presbyterian, Sir
Mieczko is the event lead (meeting 2 of 3)

The theme this year will be 12th-century music, looking at a
newcomer’s area

The total budget for the site and any incidentals is $525
-
Break even at 35 people/$15 for person

Expected attendance is 50

Lunch and dinner budgets are fundraisers and will be separate

Wassail! - (Sunday, December 14, Chelsea Fairgrounds) Lead: Rosalyn
McGregor
- Is looking for someone to help with decorations and with the cleanup
- Schedule: set up at noon, 1-9 event, dinner at 5 pm. (Court at the
pleasure of Their Excellencies)
- Potluck, there will be a sign-up. Please bring a list of your
Ingredients and serving utensils.
- Wanda has offered to host the dessert auction
- Kasha has offered to help with a sing-along of Holiday carols
- Their Excellencies are holding court
- Rosalyn will be posting these details to the Facebook event
Terpischore - (March 27-28, 2026, Westminster Presbyterian Church) Lead:
Claire (not present - no updates)
- We need a person to run the lunch tavern - reach out to Claire or
Hannah

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, November 20th. It will be run by
Johannes/Beth will turn on the virtual access.
