Baronial Website
Aeffe (Baronial Webminster) reminds us again that the Baronial website's
refreshed look is coming soon!
-
ALL OFFICERS, please update your pages before the end of January. We
would like a state of modernity to the content that’s currently being
shown. Aeffe will be able to help if you need it.
-
If you want to get WordPress access to DIY, please reach out to her.

OFFICER REPORTS
Seneschal
-
My report is due on Feb 1st.
-
Thank you to Johannes for stepping in while I’ve been traveling
-
Finn and I are still working on the event items for new stewards. We
hope to have this completed by the end of Feb
-
We are keeping the Officer report night on the 4th Thursday (or 3rd
meeting night). As a note when there’s a 5th Thursday.
Exchequer
-
The year-end Domesday report is in to the Kingdom. Our books balance and
at the end of the year we have $16,581.40 in our account.
-
We have a new Exchequer Deputy in the works. Announcement on who once
finalized.
-
As required by Society and Kingdom, we are doing a yearly budget review.
Information to be published after the meeting this month.
-
Pulling trailer update: I was able to get confirmation that those paid
members that want to help by pulling the Baronial trailer only need a
normal ‘Deputy - Other Warrant’ and not the full ‘Financial Warrant’. This
means only our local Seneschal, Exchequer and Baron/Baroness need to
sign/approve. It does not have to go to Kingdom and Crown for signing. This
is great news.
Knight Marshal
No injuries reported
There are new marshalate forms for this new year going forward:
https://library.midrealm.org/marshal/
The SCA marshall's handbook has been updated:
https://society-rules.fullmesh.co.nz/index.php/Armored_Combat:Handbook
Val Day is coming up on the 14th of February and is not a TOC, but 3-person
melees.
Rapier Marshal
4-8 people in attendance for practices. We enjoy seeing visitors! No
incidents to report. Now we go fence!
MOAS
-
Her Grace, AnneMarie, will be hosting a Bycocket Salon on Feb 5th (First
Thursday). Hat Blanks are $15. Tools for felting are an additional $2.
-
The first Crafting Night was a success! A total of at least 8 people
were actively working on projects. Some folks were new/relocated. Others
came and mingled for a while.
-
Poll for February A&S Theme of the Month will be up next week.
Herald
-
Nothing new to report – making on a couple of additions to the OoP – two
people. I should have everything up to date in a week or less. Pretty much
caught up.
-
If anyone needs help registering a badge, device, or name, I am willing
to set some time up. Please reach out
Chatelaine
Very little to report, given both December and January's holiday seasons
(plus our weather) keeping people home. The Children's Healing Center in
Ypsilanti reached out to us with a nebulous suggestion of partnership, and
have been emailed back to get more information about what they were hoping
that would look like. We had one short-term visitor during craft night, and
others who have moved into the Barony have started attending! I have
continued working on my project proposal for our newcomers quest.
Web Minister
1.
Created a form for event contact for Terpsichore, "contact the event
staff". If we like this I'll create forms for the other events.
2.
Restored TE's personal data to the new website.
3.
Creating a Google group to replace our email system (we will have to
have a new email group when we sunset our old hosting).
4.
Still need updated pages
Social Media
Nothing new to report
Looking for a deputy
Chroniciler
The officer change-over form was submitted and confirmed received by the
Kingdom Chronicler. I have full access to the email. I have reviewed the
webpage for Chronicler and have no changes that should delay the website
going live. I will get in touch with Aeffe to get an account set up so I
can make my own changes in the future.
This is the first call for the first quarter newsletter! The newsletter
currently goes out quarterly, and the next one is in April. I would love to
have all submissions by April 15th. Please let me know if you are
interested or have any questions.
Excellencies
Winter Revel was fun – looking forward to Val Day. Please put in some
Kingdom Award recommendations.
We are still a barony.
–
Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan 29
There will be a class with AnneMarie on Feb 5th.
