Barony of Cynnabar<br>Weekly Meeting<br>Mon, Jan 25, 2010<br><br><br><br><b><u>Events</u></b><br>Ypsilot went well. The Chamber was very happy with our performance. Many in the audience expressed interest in the SCA.<br><br>In the future the Singing Group recommends at this type of event, the musicians perform instead of the singers. Because the acoustics were bad and the room noise was loud, the singers could not hear themselves. Fortunately the DJ played period music. It helped set the mood.<br><br>David is glad that the Ring of Steel, The Sword Club and the SCA worked together for this event. He suggests that perhaps the three groups can collaborate again.<br>**********<br><br><b><u>Sound System</u></b><br>The Singing Group is considering holding fundraisers to make money to purchase a sound system. They are often in situations where enhancement would help the presentation. <br><br>More info to
come.<br>***********<br><br><u><b>B</b><b>aronial Transition</b></u><br>His Excellency says that we will use St. Andrews Church in Dexter. <br><br>Shoshanna has requested to be the Herald at the event.<br>************<br><br><b><u>12TH NIGHT</u></b><br>We are still looking for a site.<br>***********<br><br><b><u>Terpsichore</u></b><br>Aelfric has received the contract for Terpsichore at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Saline. The site costs $215.00. Aelfric suggests that the SCA help pay for the floor waxing. The cost will be approximately $300.00.<br><br>Aaron reports that the first music practice for Terpsichore went very well.<br>***********<br><br><b><u>Sun Shade</u></b><br>No new info<br>***********<br><u><br><b>Deputy Armored Marshal</b></u><br>The position is still open<br>***********<br><br><b><u>Garb Project</u></b><br>If you need fabric you may select what you need from the Gold Key collection. In return you must make
a simple outfit to use a loaner garb. Please contact Melisant prior to Garb Day if you are interested.<br>**********<br><br><b><u>Gold Key</u></b><br>Amyon, Shoshanna and David will re-inventory Gold Key by Terpsichore.<br>************<br><br><b><u>Citadel</u></b><br>The fencers will create the next St. Cynnabarius adventure for the Citadel. It will be submitted by Feb. 20.
