One rapier is 43" long for melee, the other is 37" long for standard fencing . Both are $95.00 each-on sale. With shipping it would cost about approximately $115 each.<br> <br>The Barony owns one adult sword. The rest are the personal property of Lord Arnold. Since we have a growing community of fencers he feels that this new equipment would be helpful. <br> <br> Lord Arnold brought one of the proposed swords to fencing practice on Sunday. Our site will be under a grove of trees by the river. <br> <br> We are waiting for confirmation from the Festival organizers regarding set-up and tear down. <br> <br> From the information on the website we can set-up from 5pm, Thurs, May 19 - Fri, Aug 20 at 11:30am. The Festival officially opens at 12pm Friday. Once we set up our tents, list field, etc, they must stay up throughout the entire event. Things can be put away for the night, but the same displays, etc must be up the next day. Cars cannot be brought in and out every day. <br> <br> We cannot begin to tear down until 6pm, Sun, Aug 22.<br> <br> We must provide our own security throughout the night. That means someone or several need to stay OVERNIGHT after we are set-up. There is great concern about this issue. It was expressed that as a group we are just back from Pennsic; that people may not be able to get more time off from work; that this commitment could be too much. <br> <br> Amyon will speak to the organizers and explain our concern. Perhaps there is a way to have a shorter presence.
