<div><font face="georgia,serif">Something that I would like to suggest to all of the members of Cynnabar is that we see each ourselves as Baronial Chatelaines. If each of us could try to find ways to be more welcoming to newcomers, to actively get them involved, and to assist in mentoring people just joining the SCA - we may have more long term success with recruitment and retention! </font></div>

<div><font face="georgia,serif">Please see below about opportunities to serve as Chatelaines-at-Large throughout the Kingdom published in The Pale. If this is something you are willing and able to do, I would love to hear about it! Please also consider stepping up to be a local mentor. Cynnabar has talked about implementing a mentor-program in the past, and I would like to see about reviving this idea and putting it into action. Part of this will include having a list of interested parties who would be willing to spend a little extra time with newcomers at events or on the side to make sure that they do not feel overwhelmed or are lacking the proper resources to make their SCA experience great.
