Greetings Good Heralds, Wondrous Scribes, and all parties
interested in Heraldry or the Scribal Arts!

This year's 5th annual Herald's Pointe and Scribal Collegium is a
Middle Kingdom event. It will be on Saturday March 10, 2012, from
10am to 5pm, at Heart of the Shepherd Lutheran Church, Howell, MI.
(website link: http://weldlake.org/pointe/heraldspointe.htm
)

I am putting out the call for those who wish to teach classes or
fill the consulting tables, to please contact me, Event Steward -
Lord Áindle ÓDiarmada email: webminister@SCANorthWoods.org
I am putting the schedule together as time permits. I will contact
instructors as I get you added to the schedule. Please check the
website for updates on classes offered. (On a mundane note: I am
currently taking 6 classes at EMU. My class schedule will allow me
to get to non-class emails on Fridays, so if I do not get back to
you until then, please understand this humble servant's time
conflicts.)

The Herald's Pointe is to provide an opportunity to meet with
heralds without
the distractions of other events. Instruction is given for the
submission
process - documentation needed, forms, timeframe, costs. Get your
name and device evaluated
and paperwork prepared for submission to the SCA College of Heralds.
If
you are a new
herald, want to become a herald or interested in heraldry, here is
an opportunity
to learn about heraldry in the Middle Kingdom. (Note: check the
requirements for groups as heralds are needed at most levels.)
Classes for court and voice
heralds are planned as well.

The Scribal Collegium is a chance to learn how to illuminate or put
those
pretty pictures/designs on paper.
There will be assistance in learning the basics of Calligraphy as
well. The Scribal Collegium will have instruction for those who
wish/need it, and a opportunity for the experienced to produce
illuminated scrolls for gifting to Kingdom for awards.

This year, the A&S part of the event is called SHOW OFF! Bring
in your Show Off pieces of Illumination, Calligraphy, or Heraldry.
(It can be your own, your group, your kingdom, or household
heraldry.)

As in the past, the Herald's Roundtable/Tea and Scribal
Roundtable/Tea will be at 4pm hosted by Weldlake.

See you there!

In the Kingdom's service,
