Hooba to all! We also had a great showing in the A&S entries with 8 of them being from Cynnabar folks. Fliers were put out at gate at 12th Night. We're hoping to get fliers to a few more events! Webpage has been updated with a request for some information from those planning to attend the event (so that we can do some better planning) and with tavern menu/pricing. We will need volunteers for gate (Nat is our gate person) and for directing traffic, especially early in the day.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal> <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>Armored Fighter Retreat (March 30<sup>th</sup> thru April 1st) -<o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>Same plan as last year. Please come in garb as we will take this opportunity to take the new Baronial picture as well. There is a $149 rental fee for the pavilion at Island Park (same one that was rented last year) which includes a $12 alcohol permit. Thanks to everyone who gave time to help out! From all accounts those how did said it was a good time. The discussion on tithing these funds will be included in a separate topic below.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>Tithing to the Kingdom - <o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>As it has been a while since we have tithed any funds to the Kingdom, it was brought up that we should use the money we made from the Nicola’s Wrapping fundraiser and look to match those funds out of the Baronial coffers as well. Her Excellency Hanna had some new details on what is needed by Kingdom, specifically that their Highness are very far out away from everyone and will benefit greatly with help with their travel funds. Also the Kingdom is looking to replace the Kingdom shade fly as the current one is on its last legs. After a good discussion by the group it was decided that we are looking to donate $300 towards the new Kingdom shade fly as well as another $300 to their Highness’s travel fund. Both of these tithings would be done at events TBD. As this is an expenditure by the group, this is the first discussion. This will be followed by the second and third discussions on the expenditure and looking for approval on the 3<sup>rd</sup>.<span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>Youth Fighting investigation of what is needed – <o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>Several people attended the Regional/Kingdom Youth Marshal’s class at 12<sup>th</sup> night. He said that he was willing to come to a couple of our practices to help start the program. However, during the discussion at the business meeting, it was generally agreed that Cynnabar needs to start putting out feelers first to make sure we have those that would come before we ask the Regional/Kingdom Youth Marshal to come to our practice.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>Baronial Ballista – <o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>There is a budget proposal of $45 for purchasing new ballista plans. The old plans have been lost and also the current plans for sale are updated to match current regulations. The group has at least 2 people that are very interested in manning a ballista crew. However, due to the large number of groups that do not currently have the office filled and the fact that it can take a long time for a person to become a warranted Chirurgeon, baronies may ask for a variance. Genoveva is interested in the position but even starting the warranting process now, it will be at least 9 months before she can complete it due to the requirements. If there is anyone else who is a warranted Chirurgeon (or close to becoming one) that would like to be considered for the Baronial Chirurgeon position, please let me know. In the meantime, to make sure we are in compliance with Kingdom law, I will be requesting a variance for the Barony. We can always add the office afterwards.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>MoAS website updates – <o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>Lady Arina will be updating the MoAS section of the cynnabar.org website as well as adding more details on A&S activities to the calendar as well to help provide easier access to information on all the A&S activities going on. She will also be looking to start a blog on the A&S page as well, but will be checking with our Web Minister to see if there are any restrictions to what can or cannot be posted/setup.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>Highness will need help at Pennsic setting up/taking down Royal camp – <o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>Their Highness are looking for groups to come spend a little bit of time to help with the setup of Royal camp at Pennsic. They are not asking for a lot from one group, just like come do one task (like dig the fire pit). But consider still coming in force, so that even if we have enough people for one task, any extra bodies may be directed to help out with other needed items. As they say, many hands make light work.
