We asked last year if we could combine the two events, as our site has more than enough room, and were turned down, so we did not stand in the way of your event, as our event is a heavily marshaled event, and yours, as you state on your website, "is a WORKSHOP for the purpose of helping musicians who play Medieval and Renaissance music to improve their craft." To be perfectly honest, the only reason that you "beat us to the calendar" is because our Seneschal position was in flux for a few months; Due to personal reasons, our long standing Seneschal had to step down, a new one took their place, and then received a job offer that caused her to leave the shire and move out of the area completely. I took over approx 1.5 months later. Had that not occurred, the roles would have been reversed, and I can assure you that just like last year, we would not have stood in the way of you holding your workshop.</span><o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal style='background:white'><span style='font-size:10.0pt'> </span><o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal style='background:white'><span style='font-size:10.0pt'>Secondly, we have been holding our event on this same weekend for the past several years. It is an established event that we have worked very hard to bring back to life. We acquired one of the only weekends in the spring and summer that are available for use at the fairground.
