Of course it didn't! Surviving some admittedly dark times, the memory of the great Roman denarius lived in as "deniers" and "denaros" and our own (English) penny still symbolized by "1d." Come hear a VERY brief survey of Western European numismatic history, 476 to about 1016, with a few common and inexpensive early medieval coins to pass around. <p>Workshops are held in the same location as the Baronial Business meetings from 6:30 pm until approx 7:25 pm about an hour before the meeting begins.
