<div>We are going to be holding "An Evening of Dance in Shattered Crystal"</div>
<div>The date will be December 11th.</div>
<div>The site will be Turkey Hill Grange, 1375 E State Rt 15, OFallon, IL</div>
<div>We <u>will</u> be having dances taught during the day, a feast, and dance all night.</div>
<div>We are inviting musicians to play for the beginning of the ball.</div>
<div>The site is handicap accessible.</div>

<div>We will <u>not</u> have:</div>
<div>any martial activities</div>
<div>any merchant space</div>
<div>any children's activities</div>
<div>any on site crash space on Friday nigh</div>

<div>The site will not open until Saturday morning. We will have someone you can contact if you want crash space on Friday night and a list of hotels.</div>

<div><u>Dance teaching</u> - This is a much smaller site so we will be just teaching dance in the upper gym - I will take lead but would appreciate being able to tag other teachers in at times. We will probably start with the last set of the ball and work our way thru to the first set. We may use seperate corners of the hall for different dances if we can make it work. (Beginner dances at one area and the more complicated ones in another) We are refering to it in our group as a "retro Crystall Ball" because this was the way the teaching was done originally.</div>

<div><u>Musicians</u> - There is a stage in the upper gym and that will be your area. Good point is you can set up early and not have to move again. Bad point is there will be some noise overflow as we will also be teaching dance in the gym.</div>

<div>The other area of the site is downstairs and will be the social room, lunch room, feast hall, desert revel, and <u>then</u> crash space as needed.</div>

<div>As some of you know we had problems with the site this year. We thought we were good at Dupo Elementary (where it had been the last few years). In May they told us they had decided to begin a sports program and the school would not be available to us anytime in the fall. Then we began to negotiate with another school (with the December date), thought they loved us and it was going to work, and when we went in to get the final contract, were told no - changed our minds.</div>

<div>The new site is a Grange Hall that one of our members belong to, but it is only two levels. Kitchen & food downstairs / Auditorium & stage upstairs / elevator between the two. Seating capacity for both rooms is 150 each room (300 between the two) so it will be close quarters. If lots of people come we will pipe the music downstairs and have some dancers downstairs at the beginning. </div>

<div>We did not want to cancel out completely but at this late date there was not time to negotiate with a larger site. We are going to start searching for a full Crystal Ball site ASAP for next year. Please pass the word about the changes for this year.</div>
