I've been talking with our regional command, and since they all think
this is a good idea, let's go ahead and schedule our our first
mid-week regional practice at the Ella Sharp Park Rotunda in Jackson,
Michigan. It will be on Thursday, May 20 starting at 630. This is the
same place Talonval holds its regular Tuesday practice. In the future,
I'd like to rotate this among the various groups in Pentamere, but
picked Talonval since it's equidistant between
3hills/Cynnabar/Northwoods.

We'll spend an 1/2 hr - to an hour doing different spear and shield
drills. Then another hour or two working on moving and fighting
together in mixed groups, as may happen after attrition during a
melee, ending up with some fighting based on the types we normally see
at Pennsic. It will last until 8-9pm or dark, whichever comes first.

Directions (if you have never been to Talonval's Tuesday practice site).
1]Take I-94 to the 127 N exit. From either direction, the exit ends in
a stoplight.
2]Turn S to head into Jackson, not N to head to Lansing. You will be
on North West Avenue.
3]Take North West Avenue all the way S through Jackson (about 4.5
miles). It will join 4th St at a roundabout near Parkside Jr. High.
Proceed S through the roundabout on to 4th (it's about a mile from the
roundabout to the rotunda).
4] Turn E into the park on Hickory Drive until it deadends into a stop sign.
5] Turn S on Oakwood Drive. Rotunda Drive angles in from the left.
6] Turn L on to Rotunda Dr, and park anywhere along Rotunda Dr.

You may also use Google maps to get your directions, type in 'Rotunda
Dr Jackson Michigan' and you'll be fine.

Please forward to any group or household who may be interested. Thanks!
