The Barony of Cynnabar (Society for Creative Anachronism).  The SCA, is a not-for-profit, international organization devoted to bringing the Middle Ages and Renaissance to life through research and re-enactment.  With over 100,000 participants worldwide, the SCA is one of the largest living history societies in the world.  Some of the skills we learn include singing, dancing, calligraphy, fiber arts, cooking and martial arts (armored combat and fencing).  Membership is not required to attend local practices and meetings.  Membership advantages include: lower entry fees to events and the newsletter. Volunteers are selected from those who come to participate.  There are no special discounts for students or seniors.
