Old Business:
Cynnabar Fiber Faire Oct. 1st
Ready to go. If you want to help setup, please be there between 8:AM and
9:AM. Big Picture Photography will be there as well doing portraits with
special $25 SCA event packages.
Grand Tournament Dec. 3rd
Next event planning meeting is scheduled for October (specific date not
available at meeting time). There was another walkthrough of the site that
was productive. A reminder that there is a call for handmade prizes for the
A&S but other prize donations are also needed/accepted for other parts of
the event. See autocrat for details.
Wassail! Dec. 17th
This was the second discussion for the event/budget ($425 proposed). Looking
to do a $5 suggested donation to cover site fees. The $200 refundable
deposit can be turned in after our next business meeting (Oct. 10th) where
we can officially approve the event/budget.
Novice A&S Faire Feb. 4th
Event site will be at St. Pauls. Event budget of $325 was approved (Midar
objected in absentia). There were some additional questions on how people
who are interested in learning the process but may not have a project would
interact at the event. Stay tuned for more details on that. Mistress Claire
also graciously offered her house to help with any brewing/vintning (since
its a dry site).
Terpsichore 2012 April 14th
Date of April 14th set. This was the second meeting to discuss the
event/budget proposal of $910. No changes from last meeting and we will look
to approve the event/budget at the next business meeting on Oct. 10th.
St. Cecila at the Tower May 12th
Date (May 12th) and site (St. Pauls) finalized. Looking to also pull in
some music laurels as well to the event.
Collegiums workshops
October 2nd we will be having a newcomers workshop titled "What is the SCA
and How Can I Get Involved?" from 12-1:30 in the Opera Room
October 9th's newcomer workshops will be Basic Garb 101 (same time and
place)
Gold Key
Gold Key will be sorted through sometime soon (hopefully!) Lady Ciara has
volunteered to assist with a possible Gold Key "yard sale". More on this to
come!
Renewal of UofM student group
We are renewed! Yea! Thanks to Aaron and all for getting the people needed!
Phonebook
Almost done
Populace Badge via Café Press
Still being investigated. (Midar wants a t-shirt in absentia)
Business Meeting Sites:
Amyon and Finn toured Westside United Methodist Church as a potential new
weekly meeting space and also submitted an application to the church (free
to non-profit groups). The church board meets the first Monday of every
month and will review our request then and let us know if we are approved or
not.
Next business meeting will be at the Classic Cup Café on Oct. 10th at 7:PM.
Bank Change:
All paperwork is signed and we are completely moved over.
New Business:
There are 5 un-belts from Cynnabar that have been invited to participate in
the Crown Tournament (HE Tairdelbach, Baron Gregoire, Sgt. Bjarki, Lord

submit your award recommendations to the Crown. Give at least 4 weeks
advance notice of the event the person you are recommending will be at. Also
list all the events the recommended person may be at as Crown may decide to
have Baron and Baroness hold Regency courts (to hand out awards for the
Crown). Also, were still a Barony.
Continue discussion on comp-ing and alternate site fees/structure (time
and interest permitting):
Briefly talked about. At the moment, any comp-ing or alternative site fees
or structures would be done as part of an event proposal which would then be
reviewed, discussed and put up for approval as part of the normal event
approval process.
In service,
-Finn
