I think this is the wrong approach. I highly recommend giving to the
Kingdom and let them sort it out. No one there wants to destroy group
finances, and once the group money starts coming in they'll be able to,
from a single spreadsheet, figure out how to cover other groups from
extra donations, build up the Kingdom funds back to operating amounts,
send extra to the Society level, etc.  

Us worrying about individual groups seems to me to be a logistical
nightmare. I'd rather let the Kingdom Exchequer do her job. 

I guess what I'm saying is that giving $1,200 to Kingdom is equivalent
to giving to other groups.
