Unto the Worthy Populace of Cynnabar, greetings!

There will be Archery Practice this Sunday, May 20th, at Forester Dillon's,
as is currently scheduled. Weather will only be an issue if you need to
take precautions against sun exposure -- the current forecast calls for
mostly sunny and highs in the lower 80s. If you are sun-sensitive, please
bring your "counter-measures."

If you feel conflicted between Kill and Grill and archery, please note that
archery practice is mostly a "drop-in" activity. Come for as long as you
can, whenever you can, between 2 and 4pm.

BONUS: What is a "Royal Round"?
--Archers attending BOTIS tomorrow have the opportunity of participating in
a Royal Round. [This does NOT mean buying Their Majesties a cold one! :)
] The Royal Round is the benchmark of an archer's skill level and archers
of the Middle Kingdom are encouraged to shoot the RR and submit their
scores for inclusion in the Kingdom score tabulation.

Master Erik Erikson the Scout, CGC, has this link ...

http://www.havenholde.net/ernie/baronyarchery/royalround.html

... that explains the RR for his Barony of Havenholde, but it is applicable
Kingdom-wide.

If you are attending BOTIS you will get a chance to test your mettle with
many other archers -- but this is a competition for your own development.
And if you are interested in simply shooting the RR at practice, please
contact me, Godaeth (lizcal AT umich DOT edu) and we will see about
arranging it at Forester Dillon's.

Yours Most Sincerely In Service,

Godaeth Wisfaest
