[Cynnabar] Running SCA Demos/Teaching SCA Classes at Penguicon

Pentamere Folks!  There's a great opportunity for SCA demos coming up
soon.  Penguicon is an annual sci-fi/fantasy/tech/general-everything-nerdy
convention in Southfield, Michigan on April 24-26, 2015.  (This is the same
weekend as the Cynnabar music teaching event, St. Cecelia at the Tower and
Andelcrag's Baronial Althing.)

They have had panels relating to everything we do in the SCA - from martial
arts, to history, to leadership, to cooking, to fiber arts - really, all of
it, and they welcome us there!  I ran an SCA rapier demo last year, and
will be running one again this year.  They have excitedly invited us to
submit demos/panels/classes on anything of interest to us.  It's a hotel
full of over a thousand nerds for a weekend, and it's a great place to
recruit.

If you'd like to run a demo, or teach a class, the deadline for submissions
is coming up soon - February 28th!  Please submit your idea at tuxtrax.org
(it will direct you to another webpage with the submission form) or email
programming at penguicon.org.

I strongly urge people to spread the love of the SCA at this great event
for people of all ages.  To teach your class or participate in a demo
*only*, you do not have to buy a badge; if you wish to attend the rest of
the convention, you must purchase a convention badge.
