·         REMEMBER:  While we have no “Gate Fee” for this event everyone
attending should *sign the list waiver*.  It also lets the Steward know how
many people attended.

·         Full Waivers because this is an Event.

·         Want to fight?  Get authorized BEFORE Spring Revel per Marshal

*Celtic Fest July 15 2017 demo *– Baron Tairdelbach  $100 requested for
snacks and drinks, 3rd of 3 meetings

*Officer vacancies to be filled:*

1.      Chatelaine – Eidy has applied, 3rd  of 3 meetings.  *Formal Vote
will be done 4/10*. Eidy will attend

2.      Minister of Youth –

3.      Office of Group Marshal for Archery – Regional Forester Paidrig
tells us the ANY Marshal can roster a practice.

4.      Seneschal – Derian le Breton has applied, 3rd of 3 meetings will be
held APRIL 10.  Derian is out of town March 27.

5.      Chronicler – *Godaeth has offered herself as a candidate. 3rd OF 3
Meetings*

*Marshall Zygmunt: Need a deputy Knight Marshall. *

This position can be a possible successor, but does not have to be. Need
coverage for practices as Zygmunt serves the incoming Crown. Should be at
least a Marshall in Training.

Ursula, Herald. $100 ($36 disbursed 11/21) ($32 spent 2/13, disbursed 2/20)

when done.

*Announcements** & Group Discussion*

Thrown Weapons will be our Activity at Celtic Fest. Will need more axes,
knives, javelins? To throw.  Can you loan some?  Know of a source?

Results from the Questions on holding a *TRIAL RUN of Meetings at
Frenchie’s/ The Side Track Tap in Depot Town Ypsilanti In MAY 2017*

·         The Under Loft Room seats 23-25 people

·         Loft Room seats 28 but is not Accessible.

·         The Front Room seats 50, but has traffic through it and would not
be good for meeting.

·         Do they have media connections, a projector, and a screen? NO

·         Would we be able to Book the room for a year? YES, in principle

·         Can staff take orders as member arrive? YES.  That is best
Practice.

·         *We agreed to do this in MAY 2017 and decide at end of second
meeting if we like the change. *

·         We will need to book or cancel for June in mid May.

*The Michigan Union is Closing for Renovations!  **If YOU know of a place
that is free and publicly accessible* please investigate and tell the
Barony.

            In a year Barony will need a new Winter Practice Site, as the
Union will be closed for renovations.  Various sites were discussed,
including At Thomas Catholic Church’s school gym. Ypsilanti Rec & Ed?
Godaeth has been passing on information as she queries possible event sites.
*PLEASE tell Kay and Zygmunt if you know of a site.*  It needs to be very
inexpensive if there is any charge.

EVENT IDEA Daege: Photography is not seen as an Art in the Society, but as
a Service.  We can rent the Riverside Arts Center exhibit room in Ypsilanti
for $200 for a month.  Hold a Grand Opening as an Event, then the exhibit
runs for the rest of the month.



*Future New Business Idea:* Purchase A-Frame (Sandwich Board) signs to mark
event entrances.             Is anyone interested in taking on this
project? If not I am removing it

*Future New Business Idea:*  Let’s discuss a *Policy for the use of the
Baronial Trailer*. We could not confirm that Baronial Financial Policies
covered the use of major equipment. We think the policy will Over-ride any
precedent set by a onetime use of the trailer for the Gulf War trip.

*Officer Reports          Big 5 followed by rest.  Martial grouped.*

Min A&S (Aeffe) – Teryl will be Deputy for A&S. She is holding crafting
meetings and will continue. Will host at her home on alternate Wednesdays
from Dance Practice.  Has a “messy” room, too.

Aeffe is seeking other deputies and advisors.  This is a great office for
the Arts and Sciences enthusiast.

Chronicler (Gavriil) – Has a successor: Godaeth.  The Spring issue of the
Citadel will come out this weekend.  Gavriil and Godaeth will work on
Transition

Exchequer (Ilsa) –

Herald (Eadraed) –

Knight Marshal (Zygmunt) – Seeking future site. SEE Discussion. A list will
be coming of Baronial Musters at certain upcoming fighting events. Looking
for a Deputy, as discussed under New Business. Attendance has been good at
Practice at Arms.

Archery Marshal (OPEN ) – Aeffe and Grey are warranted Combat Archers, and
will be able to teach and train this season.

Fencing Marshal (William, Deputy Birke) –  Cynnabar was well represented at
Tournament of Defense, per Baron Ermenrich.

Chatelaine (Daege) – Sorry to miss past reports. Eidy will take over the
post.  Daege will remain Quartermaster for Baronial equipment at her home.

Webminister (Aaron) – We still have a web site.  Kingdom is providing new
Google Apps-based officer email addresses (e.g.
cynnabar.whatever at midrealm.org). It is asking us to start using those for
officer business. We can still use the @cynnabar.org addresses as well -
this is a replacement for things like boc.seneschal at gmail.com and for using
personal email addresses for SCA business. I will be in touch with officers
with instructions on how to access those addresses.

Min. Youth (OPEN) –

Seneschal (Kay) – The next Quarterly report is due May 15, on the new
schedule.  I have a deputy; Derrian le Breton has accepted.  He is also
willing to be our next Seneschal, and that decision process will conclude
on April 10.

I will draft a Trailer Use Policy.  Then we can discuss that proposal.

Baron and Baroness (Kasha and Ermenrich) – “Worst Retainer Ever,” per King
Edmund at Gulf Wars.  This after our Baron spilled water on the Royal Arm.

Please submit Reward recommendation for Our Court at Print Revel. Please
update any entries you have I the Award Rec. system for the Kingdom.

Many events are happening here this spring.  Terpsichore, Spring Revel, St
Cecelia

Pennsic Drunken Court Theme will be Ragnarok.  [Kay Note: Apparently this
is quite a drawing card.  Pan Zygmunt says his sister may attend!]

We are still a Barony!
