NOTE: Master Derian will be away next week, so discussion of his candidacy
for Seneschal will be postponed until the April 10 Meeting. Thanks to
Baroness Hannah for this wise suggestion and to Master Derian for agreeing
to continue disucssions when he can be present. I urge you to contact
Derian in person if you have questions about his candidacy.

*Terpsichore at the Tower **April 1, 2017 Lord Gavriil.* St Paul’s Church
of Christ, Saline MI. *B**udget $500* Breakeven: 50.
· LUNCH TAVERN: *Harkin’s Bid *for this activity Appears under *Old
Business*
· Mask Workshop was held at Teryl’s on Tuesday 3/21.
· *Dessert Revel*: Costs for Dessert Revel were not specifically in
the budget. Some of the traditional Subtlety has been reimbursed for past
events. It is too late to change appropriations before the event.
o Paper supplies will be donated by various
o Gavriil, please look into covering some of Madga’s unusual costs from
the Misc Funds allocated for the Event.
*Spring Revel Sunday April 23, 2017* Steward: Lady Alana Elenora $220
· Aaron putting this on the Calendar. Will use Kay’s name as

· Alanna will get the website up this week.
· REMEMBER: While we have no “Gate Fee” for this event everyone
attending should sign the list waiver. It also lets the Steward know how
many people attended.

12th Night: The report was to be complete and submitted by March 9. *Check

will meet Tuesday to complete and send the report and Profit Sharing Check.

· Outdoor cooking as been approved by the Site. It will be
possible to have a Fire pit.
*Support for Pentemere Shade Fly Rental (up to) $100 Baron Ermenrich.

· Sir Jorlief is organizing the rental of a large tent 20’x30’ for
the Pentemere Battlefield Presence and Shade Fly at Pennsic War. It should
hold 45 people as a meeting space. Numbers will vary for piles of armor
and equipment.
· Can each Barony help out?
*Celtic Fest 2017 demo *– Baron Tairdelbach $100 requested for snacks and
drinks, 2nd of 3 meetings
· This does not include bottled water as the Event provides that to
participants.
· No Objections were raised.
*Officer vacancies to be filled:*
1. Chatelaine – Eidy has applied, 2nd of 3 meetings. Eidy will be
accepting questions and comments on Facebook and via the Barony email list.
She will soon be done with the class that has occupied her Mondays. Plans
for the office include making and finding items for Gold Key, and a New
Member Pilgrimage activity.
2. Minister of Youth –
3. Office of Group Marshal for Archery –
4. Seneschal – Derian le Breton has applied, 2nd of 3 meetings. Derian
is out of town March 27. Discussion on his candidacy will pause until the
first meeting in April. In the meantime note that he has been the
seneschal of an SCA college. He is also active in in leadership roles in
his professional organizations.
5. Chronicler – Forester Godaeth has offered herself as a candidate.
Her goals for the Citadel are to provide both the flow of information or
knowledge and the recording of history. The anniversary of the Barony
provides a special opportunity, too.

*Future New Business Idea:* Purchase A-Frame (Sandwich Board) signs to mark
event entrances. Is anyone interested in taking on this project?

*Registering the Baronial Awards and Order Names and Badges. *Mistress
Ursula, Herald. $100 ($36 disbursed 11/21) ($32 spent 2/13, disbursed 2/20)
$42 remains to be spent.

when done.

*Announcements** & Group Discussion*
*Note from Army General Cassius Maximus: *Battle Schedules for Pennsic have
changed as part of War Negotiations. This year instead of having armored
battles in morning and rapier battles in afternoon the two schools of
combat will alternate days. 2 Armored battles will happen on one day, 2
Rapier battles on the second day, and so on.
*Does Cynnabar have a Standard*, a long, long, long pennant shaped flag? No
one thinks we do. Project Idea! Kay may look into this in the future. It
would be a fine accessory for the Battlefield or Encampments of the Barony.
Discussion on holding a *TRIAL RUN of Meetings at Frenchie’s/ The Side
Track Tap in Depot Town Ypsilanti?*
· DO they have media connections, a projector, and a screen?
· Would we be able to Book the room for a year?
· Can staff take orders as member arrive?
· Kay will ask these questions.
*The Michigan Union is Closing for Renovations! *We will need to identify
Dance Practice and Combat Practice spaces for April 2018 through January
2020. Godaeth will ask about gyms at Saline area schools. *If YOU know of
a place that is free and publicly accessible* please investigate and tell
the Barony.
*Future New Business Idea:* Let’s discuss a *Policy for the use of the
Baronial Trailer*. We could not confirm that Baronial Financial Policies
covered the use of major equipment. We think the policy will Over-ride any
precedent set by a onetime use of the trailer for the Gulf War trip.
*Baron and Baroness:*
Ermenrich spoke of his travels to Gulf War, but I was so caught up in his
story that no notes were taken.
Please send Their Excellencies your award recommendations for Baronial
Court at Terpsichore.
