*Cynnabar Baronial Meeting** Minutes   9 July  2020*   via Zoom

Started meeting at 7:38 pm -- approximately *21* participants



*OLD BUSINESS*

1.       *Budget update* – Mistress Jadwiga

·         Aaron has been reimbursed for the Terpishore books (which can be
used next Terp)

·         See Google document for detailed information

·         Nezkha to forward the amount of the payment for loaner armor
storage, and a final copy of the church contract



2.      *GDOT update* -  Mistress Hannah

·         Staff members are still needed

·         Ideas in development for a virtual GDOT for 2020

·         Planning for 2021 is also taking place



3.       *Fundraiser potential*- Lady Beth – Team Cynnabar shirts - have a
logo designed, take orders (with customization of name on back if wished)

·         Designs for consideration may be ready to discuss at the next
meeting

*Previous notes on this topic*:

·         Beth suggested a fundraiser to offset some of the money we would
not be making as the result of not having events. Would like to see a “Team
Cynnabar” t-shirt with logo design. Would have customized areas on each
individual t-shirt (like names or years, or heraldry, different color
shirts, etc.)

·         Shirts would need to be made as a bulk order to keep production
costs lower – but paid for in advance by each person ordering – no Baronial
funds output



*NEW BUSINESS*

1.    The mandate for “small” group gatherings has been capped at 10,
regardless of whether the gathering is inside or outside.

2.   Several people agreed that having an all-in-one calendar, showing both
Baronial events and Kingdom and Inter-Kingdom virtual events would be very
helpful.

3.    There was discussion about a call for topics of interest for virtual
gathering, teaching, sharing etc.  Ceara has access to the prior interest
survey and will share information at the next meeting.



*Barons*

Ø  An Autocrat is needed to plan a “not meeting” gathering for when we are
allowed to all get together, involving fun activities and games.

Ø  Pennsic Drunken Court - Tiki theme to be held via zoom Aug 5th

Ø  Happy to see opportunities for virtual gatherings and





*Assistance for our meeting venue, Peoples Presbyterian Church, Milan*

In prior meetings there were discussions about what the Barony can do to
assist Peoples Presbyterian Church in lieu of payment, while everything is
shut down due to Covid.  Reverend Leia shared the following list. Please
participate as you like and are able.

Ø  *Note*:  There is a special online service Reverend Leia is leading on
Monday in honor of her very favorite (very medieval) saint, Wilgefortis.
It's going to be on Facebook Live at 8pm on Monday, July 20 on Peoples'

*Activities:*

Ø  Weeding around the church grounds -  we will select some dates/times to
do this, in order to accommodate schedules, weather, and social distancing.
Nancy will be our point of contact on workdays as to what needs to go and
what stays.

Ø  Music recordings, video and/or audio of public domain music, Rev. Leia
would be beyond stoked to include in a Sunday service (almost all of the
music has been her singing by herself in her craft room) (public domain for
music means that it was written/composed/re-arranged before 1922).  Please

interested.

Ø  Ongoing project to knit/crochet hats for cancer patients and donate them
to St Joe’s Hospital. On the third Thursday of the month (e.g., July 16),
we knit together from 1-3, although "together" is currently relative.

Ø  A blood drive is being organized at the church sometime this summer, but
the Red Cross needs to have 30 people confirmed before they can finalize
plans, so if anyone has some blood they'd like to get rid of, that would be
great. Ideally, it would be their own blood.  Please contact Rev. Leia at:

Ø  Rev. Leia has been learning to how to do everything for the website, and
would love feedback from those with website design or marketing experience.

Ø  Rev. Leia:  “Follow the church on social media so the algorithm thinks
we're super cool (I can't always promise quality content, but every
Thursday, I post a picture of a mouse having adventures, so that should
count for something)”  - special note that the Church newsletter is called
the Churchmouse.



*REMINDER:  **Starting 1 July 2020  MK requirements for in-person meetings
to take place:*

1.          Follow CDC guidelines and state and local area requirements

2.      MEETINGS and smaller gatherings ONLY  - new MK requirement: – no
more than 10 people, unless local restrictions are fewer.

3.          NO martial activities, no in-person choir practices, No bardic

4.         Be kind to your friends, DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS or
feel unwell

5.      Currently Michigan: max 10 people inside, max 100 people outside

6.         Sign in sheets –minors also – r*equired: *mundane name, valid
email or phone – Seneschal will be collecting

7.          r*equired: *Masks required to be properly worn  to attend -  no
shenanigans – masks not provided

8.         r*equired:  *Social distancing

9.         r*equired:  *Site must provide handwashing OR Barony must
provide hand sanitizer

10.      r*equired:  *NO COMMUNAL FOOD OR DRINK  BYO drinks and snacks

11.      r*equired:  *Must disinfect tables, chairs, doorknobs etc. after
meeting
