THURSDAY 3/5 STARTING AT 6:30

   - Armored Fighting and Rapier Fighting (Until site closes): If you're
   ready to get armored or have questions about fighting in the SCA, this is
   the place to be. We'll tell you what you need or start training you if
   you're ready to start! Contact Jeff Haas and Thomas J. Dowds if you need
   loaner gear.
   - Footwork Basics! (Armored Combat Workshop) 7:30: Led by Sgt. Charles
   Put your best foot forward by developing mobile strategy in the list.
   Useful feet for beginners and notes for intermediate skill levels. All are
   welcome, no armor necessary. Class begins at 7:30pm. Practice hall is open
   by 7pm. Loaner armor is available, but limited.
   - Business Meeting: 8:30PM Want to know what and where happening in the
   Barony? This is the best place to hear about officers and what they're up
   to, future events, group announcements, and so much more.
   - Socializing and Projects: Baronial meetings are a great place to meet
   the people of the Barony. Many people come just to be in the moment or work
   on projects!
   - Heraldry Night: **This week Baron Ermenrich is taking over Heraldry
   night.** The discussion will be centered around Vocal Heraldry. Vocal
   Heraldry can be a few different things including the person who boasts a
   combatant who is about to enter combat or a special occasion, The person
   who stands during court (where awards and other news is delivered to to
   public) and acts like the "announcer" or "speaker" for what is happening,
   or even as a messenger delivering information to people in public. There
   may also be some discussions about baronial heraldic regalia (Items that
   carry a picture that represent the barony.) This is also a great time and
   place if you're interested in your own heraldry or a different name you'd
   like to use. If you have questions, please contact Baron Ermenrich (Matt

We'll also likely stop over at Original Gravity for some drinks and snacks
afterwards! Not just alcohol... They have some great pop and ice cream
floats too!

Scribal Night
10545 VERNON AVE, HUNTINGTON WOODS, MI 48070 MARCH 8TH: 7PM-10PM
The scribal arts include beautiful calligraphy and illumination. (The art
of writing words and decorating around them with pictures using drawings
and paints) Miche Lame in the Barony of Roaring Wastes invites Cynnabar to
her home for a night of working on Scribal Arts. Please contact her with
questions or concerns!
EVENTS TO BE AT THIS WEEKEND
Quest for the Golden Seamstress
CANA LUTHERAN CHURCH 2119 CATALPA DR. BERKLEY, MI 48072
Gate opens at 6PM Friday Night
$15 Adults ($10 with discount) Competing $10 Adults ($5 with discount)
Non-competing $? Youth 6-17 years old $? Youth 5 and under Note: Not a kid
friendly event.
The Baronesses Sadb, Isabella, Una, Catherine-Aimée, Iasmine and Gwynnyd of
Roaring Wastes invite you to show us your costuming skills. For the
eighteenth year, the seamstresses of the Middle Kingdom will take up the
challenge to create a complete set of garments, from the skin out, in
twenty hours. Teams of from 1 to 6 active members are to start at 10 PM
Friday and continue to 6 PM on Saturday. Team members are expected to
remain on-site during the competition.
A tavern will be available on Saturday for lunch and dinner, sponsored by
the Barony of Roaring Wastes.

Midlands Regional A&S Faire

This event is for people to enter works of arts and science to be judged.
Submissions with high markings will move on to the Kingdom Faire in May.
