*Cynnabar Baronial Meeting** Minutes   15 April 2021   *via Zoom

Started meeting at 7:40 pm - 13 participants



*Next business meeting: *May 13  at 7:30 pm e.s.t.  Topic:  Concerns about
reopening.



*NOTE:*   Discussion regarding concerns and questions about reopening
in-person activities should be held to the end of the meeting, when we will
be making a list, so that answers can be developed when we have more
information.


*OLD BUSINESS*

·         The Barony has registered for Land at Pennsic, to be prepared
should it be able to take place. Announcement. Final decision about Pennsic
as of 30 May 2021

·         Gulf Wars tentative dates October 2-10, 2021

·         Interested in learning how to set up and host zoom meetings for
social hour or a meeting?  Contact Nezkha, Ani, or Beth for more information

·         If you haven’t already turned in your paperwork for the fighting
waiver to the MK Mistress of the Lists, and need help, contact Jorun,
Nezkha, or Their Excellencies



·         If you are interested in helping plan for a Fall Revel, please
contact Their Excellencies

·         Ulfrun reported that the Heraldry survey is ready to send (where
are you at, what help do you need, so that help can be coordinated, and the
Baronial information updated)

·         Shelves for the barn (baronial storage), and for the church
(loaner armor space) are needed.

o   Barn shelf date can be selected in coordination with Pete and Daye

o   Church is not open to public at this time, however a small group of 2-4
can schedule a visit to measure the storage area



*NEW BUSINESS*

·         Lady Beth - Facebook is changing rules around groups being
private and public; there is no Kingdom guidance so far. After discussion,
it was agreed to leave the Baronial page as public for now, it can be
changed later as necessary.

·         Her Excellency Jorun is developing lesson plans for training,
building a “new fighter friendly” and “technique refinement” system

·         The 2021-2022 budget meeting will be held annual budget committee
meeting will take place May 6th, 2021 at 8:30 PM via the Zoom link (

·         An Event Steward is needed for Grand Day 2021. Details regarding
previous events will be made available.

·         An Event Steward is needed for Fall Revel 2021, date and place
tbd – Kevin mentioned he was interested.  Rosalyn mentioned she’d look into
whether parks were open yet.

*SUMMARY of the Bod Resolution:*

SCA BoD lifts the suspension of in-person activity in North America
effective June 1, 2021, provided adherence of all attendees in North
America to all province, territory, state, and local health guidelines at
SCA events. In addition, at all North American SCA events:

A.    Masks that fully cover the mouth and nose must be worn by all
attendees over the age of 4 at all times and during all activities except
for eating and drinking;

B.    Court, bardic circles, or any activity that involves voice projection
shall also require that masks be worn at all times. Sound amplification
devices are highly recommended;

C.    No day board, water-bearing, or food of any kind shall be provided by
event staff or attendees to other attendees. All attendees must provide
their own food and beverages;

D.    While consuming food or beverages, attendees are required to remain
stationary and follow social distancing rules;

E.    No overnight camping shall be allowed;

F.    All events shall be held outdoors;

G.    There shall be a maximum of 150 people at any event; and

H.    All events shall require preregistration.  SCA, Inc. has available
the Event Module for the mandatory pre-registration process.  All kingdoms
are encouraged to utilize this tool. More information will be forthcoming
from the SCA Accounting Specialist, Mazelle Attiya.

-   A variance can be requested from the Society Seneschal for specific
in-person events

-  Small local gatherings including, but not limited to: guild meetings,
officer meetings, and local martial activities including archery and
thrown weapons *shall remain at the discretion of the Crown and Kingdom
Seneschal*, in accordance with province, territory, state, and local health
guidelines. Virtual events as alternatives continue to be a viable option
