All,
For some reason my personal e-mail address is not currently working for the
Baronial e-mail list. (Yes, I tried resetting my password, it says it’s
sending me a reminder but I’m not getting anything.)
So, for those that have not been seeing these Celtic Fest posts (other than
Facebook), I APPOLOGIZE! I will send them from this email for now.
Below is the reminder that I sent on Sunday.

Hello all! A friendly reminder that Celtic Fest Demo is coming soon!
The full details in the linked event with the 'pinned' post in the
discussion tab in Facebook (link below). Also full post copied below.
But in short for timing:
* Friday evening setup - We are targeting to have the trailer there by
6:00.
* Saturday morning setup - Site opens for stuff drop-off at 7:30am.
ALL CARS MUST BE OFF-SITE BY 9:00 am AT THE LATEST. This is especially
important this year as we are right by the front entrance.
* Saturday evening breakdown – Cars are not allowed on-site until
after 6:PM
Attached is a picture of the site. For unloading/setup, you should be able
to drive in ‘Gate 1’. Let them know you are unloading and with the SCA.
DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE THROUGH THE FRONT GATE! It is pedestrian only.
Please let the activity coordinator (or me) know if you plan on helping
out!
Activities
- A&S Display – Ilse.
- Armored fighting – Midair.
- Fencing – Throckmorton.

Details:
The annual Michigan (was Saline) Celtic Festival is July 11th and 12th this
year and we are planning on participating again. This message is intended to
provide an overview of the setup (not to discuss the details of the
activities of the demo proper). We are 7 weeks out.
Location (Same location as last year - Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds: 5055
Ann Arbor Saline Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103)
- We are in a NEW location on the site this year! We are going to be RIGHT
BY the festival entrance. (see map) This will provide both great
opportunities and logistic challenges.
- Driving in/out: Gate 1 should be the gate we use for loading/unloading.
Schedule
- Friday evening setup - We are targeting to have the trailer there by
6:00.
- Saturday morning setup - Site opens for stuff drop-off at 7:30am. ALL
CARS MUST BE OFF-SITE BY 9:00 am AT THE LATEST. This is especially important
this year as we are right by the front entrance.
- Saturday evening breakdown – Cars are not allowed on-site until after
6:PM
Activities
- A&S Display – Ilse.
- Armored fighting – Midair.
- Fencing – Throckmorton.
Considerations
- If you are planning on participating, particularly with an A&S display,
armored of rapier fighting, please let the activity coordinator know.
- We do NOT have space/personnel for any ranged activities
(archery/throwing).
- Festival is rain or shine, please plan accordingly.
- Site for us is DESCRETELY DAMP.
- Real weapons for display use is OK.
- Vehicles: We will be setting up right by the festival gate/entrance and
due to the logistics of the space, we have limited direct access for
loading/unloading.
- Vehicles part 2: As soon as you have unloaded, before you setup, please
move your vehicle out of the way so others can unload.
- Vehicles part 3: If you arrive Saturday after 9:00 am, you will have to
haul your stuff from the parking lot.
