[Cynnabar] Baronial Meeting Minutes - July 10, 2025

Unto all, please read on for the

Cynnabar Baronial Meeting Minutes from July 10th, 2025 - at 7:00 pm - 18 in
attendance

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

   -

   TEs have note cards to make as a request for Their Majesties. The
   request was for a minimum of 5 cards created to represent each of the
   Baronies. They will be given as gifts at State dinner at Pennsic. All of
   the “blank” cards were taken as assignments at the meeting– but if you’d
   like to make one on your own you are welcome to. Her Excellency would like
   to have them returned to HER by the meeting before Pennsic (7/23)
   -

   Jasen and Beth are creating a Barony of Cynnabar t-shirt fundraiser. All
   profits will be donated to the Barony. The shirts can be customized for an
   additional cost.
   -

      There will be a few different types of shirts available in both men’s
      and women’s cut shirts
      -

      The design was created to go on either a black or a white shirt. It
      has the BOC and the tower graphic on the front; the back of the
shirts can
      be customized
      -

      Beth is still working on the link through Etsy and will post when
      available.
      -

      Estimating costs to come around $25/shirt, more for customizing
      -

   There are NO Gatherings at the church site (Gathering, practices, or
   meetings) for a Pennsic Break: July 31 and August 7
   -

   Bear attacks are real. IYKYK

NEW BUSINESS:

No official new business – but a note and short discussion that we need
Event Stewards!!!

   -

   We have several that fall into the latter part of the year, and we need
   folks to help run. Those events could be: Fall Revel, Closing of the Range
   and Wassail
   -

   It’s also never too early to start planning for Pentamere 12th Night
   (2027) when it will be our rotation to host.
   -

   If you are interested in running an event -- or learning -- please reach
   out to the Seneschal

OLD BUSINESS:

   -

   Officer Changeovers
   -

      Chatelaine - New Commers
      -

         Daye has determined that she would like to step down in the fall
         -

         Interest was expressed, Daye to follow up
         -

         If others are interested, please reach out to Daye, Their
         Excellencies, or the Seneschal for more information.
         -

      Chronicler (Newsletter) would like to step down (Godhit)
      -

         Godhit would like to transition from this role before the end of
         the year
         -

         Lambert has expressed interest and will be working as Godhit's
         Deputy
         -

            Godhit will train and has a Baronial Chronicler’s handbook
            developed
            -

         If there are others interested, please contact Godhit, Their
         Excellencies, or the Seneschal for more information


EVENTS



   -

   Celtic Festival (July 11th and 12th) - Lead: Finn
   -

      Finn did a walk-through on where things are set up - not as planned,
      but we will make it work; we are set up right at the entry gate
      -

      Friday is set up starting at 6 pm on 7/11. Many hands make light
      work. Adler is getting the list field. We will break and have a
      drink/food/listen to music afterwards
      -

      Saturday, Finn arrives about 7:30. At that point, you can drive in to
      unload, but cars must be off-site by 9 am. The event opens to
the public at
      10 am; after 9 - you must park and walk with your gear/items.
      -

         Parade line up at 10:30 am - first combat show at 12:30
         -

         Plan on buying or packing lunch - there will be snacks and
         Gatorade/water
         -

         We are inside GATE 1. If you arrive after 9, be sure to tell them
         you are with the SCA
         -

      Many details have been posted to Facebook and our mailing list —
      check for maps and other details
      -

      Volunteers are still needed – please contact the department leads if
      you plan to attend and we can save space for you



   -

   Grand Day of Tournaments (October 25, Monroe Fairgrounds) - Leads:
   Gregoire/Giovanna
   -

      We need a list person for the rapier list person – reach out to
      Giovanna or Throckmorton (We might have a few people who have offered to
      help)
      -

      Johanness is the herald in charge – we need 6 volunteers at a minimum
