Here are the meeting minutes from the 6/25/12 meeting. 19 cool and spiffy
people were in attendance.

Event and Demo Reports

In garb viewing of Brave - Went well. See Genoveva's note earlier on the
list for more details.

Known World Dance Symposium - Several Cynnabar folks attended. Event was
good but lightly attended. Aaron and Jadzia are considering autocrating one
in 10 years. We'll remind them in 5 years that they need to start moving on
it.

Upcoming Baronial Events and Demos

Celtic Festival (July 14th) - Call for help with the demo went out and have
received good response. Should have the wrist bands the night before in
order to get in the park.

Ale to the Victors (Sept 22nd possibly) - Northwoods will be hosting this
event and would like Cynnabar to be their "opponent". They are trying to
secure a site (Brighton Rec area) for the event. It was suggested that
filking the UoM fight song may be fun to do.

Fiber Faire (Oct 13th) - We are trying to secure St. Paul's for the event
for Oct 13th. See "New Business" section for deposit budget discussion.

Grand Tourney (Nov 3rd) - Nothing new other than a request for prize
donations

Old Business

Baronial Tokens - Up to $75 would be needed by Lady Kathryn as she has
graciously offered to make us some new tokens for the Tower's Foundation.
This was the third discussion in the Baronial funds approval process and the
funds have been approved.

Celtic Festival Snacks - Approval to spend $50 for snacks to have at the
Saline Celtic Festival". This was the second discussion and no one had any
issues. A question on what the festival provided was asked an the answer is
"just water".

Baronial Ballista plans - The have arrived and were at the meeting for
anyone to look at. Uillic will be looking to start up the project sometime
after Pennsic. Please see him if you are interested in helping.

Fixing loaner leg armor proposal (meeting minutes reminder/placeholder only)
- No new updates

New Business

Fiber Faire site deposit funds - St. Paul's requires a $100 check to secure
the site. The check does not get cashed until the event. This was the first
discussion to approve the budgeting of $100 to secure the site. Note: The
rest of the event budget proposal will be a separate budget request, this is
just for the securing the site check. Note 2: For full disclosure, there was
a mix up/oversight in the process and the check was already turned into St.
Paul's along with our application request. It should have waited for the
normal 3-meeting budget approval process. However, as the check is not being
cashed until much later, we can still run this thru the approval process and
be OK. Also, with St. Paul's approval committee meeting schedule, getting
the application in quickly was also needed in order to assure timely
approval of the site.

Suggestion for an alternate evening dance site for Terp - A suggestion for
using a different site for the Terp ball was brought up and discussed. Pros
and cons were weighed. In the end, any such decisions would have to be made
by the autocrat of the event in their event proposal and any suggestions
like this should be made to them for consideration.

Announcements

Baron Wars this weekend - If you wish to camp with the Barony at Baron Wars
this weekend, please let HE Hanna know. There are about 12 tents so far and
Genoveva's shade fly.

Officer Repots (normally done on 4th Tuesday of each month)

Exchequer (Vincent) - No report

Webminister (Aaron) - Website is doing fine. The yearly web-site hosting fee
should be due soon and he is looking into that to make sure it is paid on
time. This annual budget item is built into the Baronial financial policy
and is not subject to the 3-meeting approval process.

Fencing Marshal (Arnold) - No report but fencing is happening on Sunday's
and Thursday's.

MoAS (Arin) - Craft night has moved to Tuesday, to hopefully accommodate
more people, starting this Tuesday (tomorrow). Everyone is free to come by,
bring their own project or to learn something new. I am currently working on
a set of workshop instructions for several practical and fun projects, and
would love to have suggestions from the populace of suitable projects. And
also help with making the instructions. These would be available for general
use, by downloading from the web site, so that you can either come to the
workshop and make your project together with everyone else, or make it at
home. Next MOAS report is the 15 July, and I would wish that everyone that
have been working on something new, send me a line before the 10th of July,
so that I can incorporate it into my report.

Chatelaine (Genoveva) - Noted the Brave demo from before. Also the flyer has
almost all of the people in the photo cleared and is looking good.

Chronicler (Ermenrich) - Articles for the next issue of the Citadel are due
this Thursday (the 28th) as he wants to get it published before Pennsic.

Herald (Simcha) - No report

Knight Marshal (Gregoire) - The usual summer practice attendance slump is in
full swing.

Archery Marshal (Godaeth) - Sunday practices are going well with only one
cancelation. A good group of core people. At Talonvale Godaeth is expecting
to finish up the event requirements part for her MIT process. There has also
been lots of good representation of Cynnabar people at archery at events.
Note: at Baron Wars there will be archery all day. Come out and shoot! Also
make sure to get your equipment checked before each session as we recently
had a bow delamination. No one hurt but a good example to get any equipment
checked, especially loaner gear.

Seneschal (Finn) - Next meeting July 9th. No meeting July 30th (officer
reports will be due one week early (July 23rd). No meeting August 13th the
day after Pennsic but perhaps there will be a get together for Pennsic
stories somewhere.

Baron and Baroness (Hanna and Tairdelbach) - They are getting the Pennsic
schedule for the Barony together. They would love help with the KW Baronial
Champions Tourney (Monday 4-7) as well as KW Baronial Rapier Champions
Tourney (Wednesday?). Wednesday will be the Baronial pot luck dinner
followed by Baronial court then Cynnabar's Got Talent. Baronial muster and
marching to the field is still TBD, but looking at Monday and Friday at the
moment. And as always, please send in any award recommendations.

Also, this Sunday July 1st is the next Kill and Grill with monthly tourney.

And as far as we know, we are still a Barony.
