[Cynnabar] BoC Meeting Minutes 2/23/15 meeting

As I am looking to wrap up my tenure as your most beloved Seneschal and move
on to other things, it appears that I will continue to post these meeting
minutes and agenda on the day before the meeting. I shall leave it up to my
successor to determine if they want to change what has become a fine
tradition in our Barony. 

So for your Sunday evening ready pleasure, I give to you, the meeting
minutes..

Event and Demo Reports

Herald and Scribal Symposium - Fun was had at the event.

Upcoming Baronial Events and Demos

Fighters Retreat (Feb. 28th, 2015) - Final e-mail going out.

Terpsichore at the Tower (Mar. 7th, 2015) - Signs done. Classes done. Need
clean-up/setup crew. All else done.

Spring Revel (April 12th, 2015) - Rapier changeover will be done at a
different time. There will be two champions decided on the day, armored and
archery (which is new).

St. Cecilia at the Tower (April 24th - 26th, 2015) - No update.

Spring Crown Tournament (May 23rd and 24th, 2015) - We have the football
field! We found a place to rent a stage. They deliver and pick-up but we
setup/takedown.

Old Business

Event: Grand Day of Tournaments (Saturday November 7th, 2015. $1980 budget)
- Proposal from Agnoletta (Event Steward) and Johannesas (Deputy event
steward). Back at Liberty School again. While there are still a couple of
key staff positions to fill (Tavern and Gate), it was agreed that this event
is one the Barony wants to support AND get it on the Kingdom Calendar ASAP,
so there was no objection to going forward with supporting this event. This
is the 3rd of our 3 meeting discussion/approval process.  APPROVED!

Lunch Tavern for St. Cecilia at the Tower ($400 budget) - Mistress Arina
brought forth a nicely written proposal for one of her (now famous!) lunch
taverns. $400 budget with a break-even of 40 people. This is the 3rd of our
3 meeting discussion/approval process. No issues or concerns. APPROVED!

Budget item: List upgrades ($400 budget) - Baroness Giovanna on behalf of
Sir Gregoire is asking for $400 to make additional sections and improvements
to the Baronial list field. This will allow for five 21'x21' lists to be
setup at the same time. This is the 3rd of our 3 meeting discussion/approval
process. No issues or concerns. APPROVED!

Budget item: Fabric for making new fighter tabards ($250 budget) - Baroness
Kasha is asking for $250 to buy fabric to make new fighter tabards as the
Barony is almost out. She will be coordinating workshops to get them made as
well. This is the 3rd of our 3 meeting discussion/approval process. No
issues or concerns. APPROVED! 

New group officer: Seneschal - Mistress Kay - Mistress Kay as generously put
her name in the hat to become Cynnabar's next Baronial Seneschal. This is
the 3rd of our 3 meeting discussion/approval process. Discussion happened.
Many good comments. All very impressed. APPROVED! (Transition to be
determined)

Demo: Penguicon (April 25th or 26th, 2015) - Request for the Barony to
support the fencing demo at Penguicon again this year. It was a big hit last
year and the fencers would like to do it again. It is acknowledged that it
is on the same weekend on St. Cecilia, but there is support for the fencing
demo outside our group as well so there should be enough to support both St.
Cecilia and the fencing demo at the same time. Also, the fencing demo will
most likely be schedule for a Sunday time slot, interfering even less with
the main St. Cecilia day. This is the 2nd of our 3 meeting
discussion/approval process. No issues or concerns.

New Business

Budget item: Fabric/materials for making new Baronial floor covering for in
front of Baronial thrones during court ($95 budget) - Giovanna and Millisant
has a nice design for doing a new floor covering for the Barony to use in
front of the Baronial presence. The design was shown and everyone liked it.
Targeting to have done by Crown. No issues or concerns. This is the 1st of
our 3 meeting discussion/approval process.

Group Discussion

If Exchequer is in the house: How to properly fund/pay for Baronial
t-shirts. - This has been figured out. It's OK for Gaviil to collect
money/order/pay for things and then give the extra/overage to the Barony.
This was approved by the Kingdom Exchequer. 

Announcements

Our Baroness (thru HE Ermenrich) decided to get cherry pie (warmed up) with
whip cream. Ermenrich appeared to enjoy the pie very much.

Officer Reports (normally done on 4th Monday of each month)

Exchequer (Tristan) - YWHMANYCHA. We enough for 1144 pounds of alum. Which
is equivalent to $9759.93

Webminister (Aaron) - No report.

Fencing Marshal (William) - No report.

MoAS (Arina) - No report. (vacation)

Mo Youth (Viktoria) - No report.

Chatelaine (Daye) - Talking with upper management about office. Talking with
new people to our group. 

Chronicler (Gavriil) - Next edition is April 1st. Information letter coming
out soon. 

Herald (Johannes) - Herald night next week. 

Knight Marshal (Gregor) - No report. (vacation)

Archery Marshal (Open) - 

Seneschal (Finn) - I have found a replacement to fill my illustrious shoes!

Baron and Baroness (Kasha and Ermenrich) - Please send in Baronial and
Kingdom award recommendations! We are still a Barony (with pie!).
