It would seem that specialty events like Terp and St. Cecelia would not need a mile-limit as their focus is so narrow that they would not compete with a regular event even if it was close to us.  


Re some groups had to fold because they didn't make money at their event:  which groups?  Where?  When?  What events?  I find it hard to believe that groups folded based on one event.  Most groups fold due to personality clashes and factions.


If there are several groups in close proximity to each other (Chicago, SE Michigan) then Giovanna's idea of working together makes sense.  



I hate to make broad changes in rules when it is only a problem for specific groups/ areas.
