20190509 Baronial Business Meeting

New Business

High-end Fighting Event

   -

   Master Zygmunt is thinking of creating a high-end, immersive armored
   combat event and is in the preliminary planning stages. He imagines this
   something like La Prova Dura - or a pas d’armes. He could see it being done
   at the same location as Ruby Jubilee. The KEM would like to help and work
   with him on this. He will work on a proposal and bring it to the group.


Food Money for MK50

   -

   His Excellency Ermenrich requested $100 to help pay for hot dogs and
   buns for Sunday night at MK50.
   -

   Olaf mentioned that he has a flat grill, so if someone else would be
   willing to bring a regular grill, that would be good!


Old Business

Budget Committee Presentation (2nd reading of 3)

   -

   More discussion was had about the proposed annual budget.
   -

   Again, it is a guideline to try to help with future and yearly budget
   planning. It does not mean that members of the group cannot come with other
   requests.
   -

   If approved, a committee will be put together to discuss some ways to
   utilize the recruitment and retention funds - or other projects that would
   not normally spend money on.
   -

   A request was made to look at feast numbers over the next year or so,
   and possibly give them a little bit more wiggle room.


Upcoming Events and Demos

May Demo

   -

   Alana would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Her Excellency Kasha for
   sending out hundreds of emails to members of the Barony, trying to get them
   to participate in this demo. Hurray! You are awesome. Thank you, thank you,
   thank you!
   -

   Around 20 members are now attending.
   -

   THIS IS A DRY SITE!!!
   -

   Library opens at 1pm. Demo starts at 2 and goes until about 4pm.




MK50

   -

   The land use proposal has been submitted and should be approved!
   -

   We will not have cooking materials because they are in the Pennsic
   storage. So please bring your kitchen stuff to help with cooking!
   -

   It will be QUITE the event. Should be around 4000 participants!
   -

   Her Excellency Hannah has requested to borrow some of the Baronial feast
   gear to use at MK 50 - APPROVED.


Celtic Fest

   -

   No updates. Please let His Excellency Tairdelbach know you will be there.


St. Cecilia

   -

   Work continues to be done. A performance project is underway. Classes
   are happening!
   -

   PEOPLE ARE COMING!


Fall Revel

   -

   Nothing to report.


Grand Day of Tournaments

   -

   First staff meeting happened - went very well.
   -

   Need some volunteers - if you would like to help out with the event,
   please contact Hannah.

   -

   Jan 4th - Giovanna would like to get this on the calendar.

   She is having difficulties finding a good site - if you have
   suggestions, please send them to her asap!

   Letters of intent are due May 30th to Master Derian.

   We are still a Barony. Fealty has been sworn.  Woot!
