[Cynnabar] Minutes for meeting held 7/14/2022

Cynnabar Baronial Meeting   14 July 2022  in person, outside, ~23 in
attendance    7pm  Mistress Giovanna presiding.

*Announcements:*

   - As of this time, the Middle Kingdom requires masking when indoors.
   - To anyone registering for Pennsic, please be aware that Covid rules
   for the Kingdom of Aethelmaerc will be followed.  This includes:

   - Proof of vaccination or negative test by professionals (no home tests)
      within 72 hours prior to trolling in.
      - Everyone masking indoors (see list on Pennsic webpage for those)
      - *Masking at all times for those who are not vaccinated  NO LONGER
      REQUIRED*
      - *Also note that in classes and camps where instructors or camps are
      asking for mask, attendees need to comply*.
   - From the MK Seneschal:  We are in the process of migrating services
   off the MidRealm Portal. This is being done as, unfortunately, the portal
   is unsustainable in its current form and cannot be maintained long term.
   Thus, capabilities are slowly being migrated to solutions that we already
   own or can purchase, either as part of Google Workspace or WordPress. This
   also means that we can manage our own tools and don't need special
   programming skills to change them.
   - Tairdelbach mentioned that we should have gathering/meetings on EVERY
   Thursday regardless of fight practice so that we have continuity and
   retention for newcomers. Everyone agree. The website needs to be updated to
   reflect that meetings are no longer suspended and we are GATHERING weekly.
    Nezkha requested the update from Webminister/ Social Media Officer.

*New Business:*

   1. Grand Day of Tournament (Diamante)


   1. Diamante brought a proposal for the group with several possible sites.
      2. The date was the most important - requested 11/19. Group and
      deputy Seneschal agreed to get on the calendar.
      3. We need more meetings to discuss this further, Proposal may go
      over budget-allowed costs.
   1. Wassail (HE Olaf)  His Excellency is looking for sites.  This will be
   a comfort based event - if you feel you would like to attend, please do!
   There will be food.


   1. Fall Revel (HE Olaf) Also looking for sites.  Proposals will be
   forthcoming.



*Old Business: *

   1. Their Royal Majesties need award tokens.   After discussion, it was
   agreed to select a date and set up an A&S craft night to make some as a
   Baronial A&S activity. More to come, please talk to Ulfren with ideas.


   1. Ulfren suggests that we meet next week to work on these.
      1. Celtic Festival - Was fun and got lots of interest. We were paid
   and money is in the bank.
   2. Pennsic - please remember to send your tent sizes!

*Officer reports:*

*Exchequer:   *(Diamante):   Regional exchequer has signed, waiting on
Nezkha now. Almost done with classes and then will be ready to go!

*Chatelaine:*   (Ceara)  Lots of interest at Celtic Festival. Created a QR
code that brings up social media. Will be reaching out to newcomers in the
near future.



*Armored*:   (Jorun):  None to report.

*Rapier*:  (Throckmorton):  We are sparring again!

*Arts & Sciences*:  (Ulfrun):    More classes are upcoming - would like to
do at least once a month.

*Herald:*  (Aesa):   Nothing new to report.

*Social Media:*  (Valka):   No report.

*Chronicler: *   (Gabriella)   Please forward any content for next Citadel
via the official email.

*Webminster: * No report

* Archery: * No report

*Their Excellencies:*

His Excellency Olaf would like to invite everyone to a Cynnabar “family
reunion” at Viking’s Come Home, September 16-18 and would love to see
everyone there who feels comfortable going to events.



*The next business meeting*  is Thursday, August 25th, then Thursday 8
September , both  at 7 pm in person, outside, weather permitting.   Meeting
frequency will continue at every other week, with adjustments for Holidays.
Additional meetings will be added when necessary, and Mistress Giovanna is
willing to run short meetings for Grand Day, etc. - ANY Thursday necessary.
